A Bride's World by Arpita Mehta

The journey to matrimony is a dance of myriad emotions, where a bride waltzes through memories of yesterday and pirouettes into dreams of tomorrow. Yet, each bride twirls to her own tune – a rhythm distinct from the melodies of the women before her, her contemporaries, and her tribe.

Arpita Mehta, in her mesmerizing collection, 'A Bride's World', unravels the myriad shades of these brides, crafting tales stitched in fabric.

Each ensemble from 'A Bride's World' resonates with a bride's unique heartbeat. For the globe-trotting minimalist, there's the ethereal fishtail skirt adorned with intricate embroidery, crowned with a lavish veil. For the bride who balances her penchant for deeper hues with auspicious tints, a sequinned chocolate saree embellished and coupled with an ornate blouse awaits.

And for those deeply entrenched in tradition? Sumptuous red lehengas await their dance.

Playful brides can twirl in ruffled sarees and lehengas, a wink to their vivacious spirit. And for the merriments that call for a sprinkle of light-hearted fun, the collection boasts cocktail sarees, drenched in hues inspired by a celebratory sky - from tangy lemon and soft blush to radiant sindoori and myriad tones of nature. Every piece sings praises of traditional mirror artistry, kissed with floral whispers and the gentle caress of pearl embroidery.

Arpita Mehta muses, “Weddings are a canvas, and every bride should paint her joy, her story. While traditions hold their charm, it’s the colors, the cuts, the flair that showcase the soul wearing them.”

She breaks new ground by introducing shades of baby orchid and deep chocolate, harmoniously weaving them into her hallmark tones of pristine coconut/ivory, fiery burnt orange, and the pulsating crimson of vitality.

Designed to celebrate and complement the Indian silhouette, each creation seamlessly marries elegance with ease. The sarees, a testament to this, can be effortlessly zipped into, with a simple toss of the pallu, empowering the bride to embrace her day with grace and aplomb.

Jaisalmer's regal Suryagarh served as the backdrop for this collection – a place where the elegance of bygone eras whispers tales to contemporary luxury. The ethos? A harmonious blend of rich heritage with chic modernity. Arpita’s vision for capturing this collection was laser-focused – spotlight the bride, for she is the heart of her designs.

She elaborates, “Indian weddings are grand tapestries of celebration, but my muse remains the bride. Each one, with her dreams and hopes, is my inspiration. As she journeys through the vibrant chapters of mehendi, sangeet, cocktails, the chura ceremony, the wedding, and the reception, my designs walk beside her.”
