Adidas X Prada - A Mighty Collaboration

In recent years, we have seen quite a few meant to be collaborations in luxury industry. A recent collab between the German sportswear giants and the Italian luxury makers has really caught an eye for what’s to come next. The head fashion designer of Prada has been at the forefront of this collaboration. The collaboration comprises of Adidas Originals iconic sneaker ‘Superstar’ which first hit the market in 1969, seems to be paired up with Prada’s ‘Bowling Bag’.

Both the products are said to be offered in Optic-White color. This is not the first collaboration between both the brands as an ‘All-White’ edition ‘Superstar’ shoes debuted earlier in 2020. Though this new collaboration seems to be having a twist with the Superstar shoe to be made of Prada’s buttery leather at Prada’s Marche region in Italy and to be detailed with black outlines. It seems like both the brands are featuring each other’s products to complement each other by boasting both the products with ‘Adidas X Prada’ logos. This seems like a nice strategy to create the buzz of both the brands.

The new collaboration products are said to be limited to just 700 pieces and each of these pairs caring a unique limited-edition serial number. It is fair to say that it is going to be quite a challenge to acquire them. It usually is hard to get a hold of these products, though both the products are set to hit the stores of Adidas and Prada as a package come September 8th, 2020. Prada and Adidas are also said to collaborate later in the year to debut pieces inspired by the America’s Cup; a sailing race, Prada have participated in since launching its Luna Rossa team in 1997.

The adidas ‘Superstar’ is an iconic noteworthy sneaker rocked by many celebrities, musicians, and fashion designers. It is a must have shoe. Well, get ready to blow out your pocket for this limited-edition collaboration, as both the Bag and Shoe are estimated to cost around an astonishing $2770.
