AK OK Unveils STORISTRY - A Fusion of Fashion, Friendship, and Fiction

Fashion Tells a Story

AK|OK took the art of storytelling to new heights with STORISTRY, an extraordinary evening where fashion intertwined with fiction to create a mesmerizing experience. Held on 3rd October at The White Crow, Jio World Drive, this event was more than a display of clothes—it was a tribute to the AK|OK woman, brought to life through a 30-minute play.

Eight performers, elegantly dressed in AK|OK designs, embraced the fabrics as they embodied the spirit of the characters, weaving together a narrative that resonated with strength, vulnerability, and individuality.

A Journey Through Friendship and Memories

The play unfolded around a farewell dinner among a group of women who had shared their lives for over a decade. Maya, one of the characters, was preparing to move to Zaragoza, taking with her not just the skyline of Mumbai but the deep memories of friendship and love. As they gathered around the table, the women reminisced about their journey together—through love, heartbreak, marriage, and life’s milestones. From childhood games like charades to the intimate rituals of adulthood, their stories reflected the enduring strength of sisterhood.

As part of their tradition, the group of friends played a unique game every time they met, evolving from playful charades to meaningful inventions that allowed them to share their lives. Through these moments, the audience felt the pulse of these women—their laughter, tears, and the unapologetic individuality that AK|OK designer Anamika Khanna champions.

A Stellar Cast and Performance

The play was brought to life by a stellar cast, including Nakul Sahdev, Zayn Marie, Aditi Mittal, Muskaan Bisaria, Himika Bose, Kamakshi Bhat, Rytasha Rathore, and Sehban Azim. Each actor added depth and authenticity to the evening, leaving the audience deeply moved.

Reflecting on the event, Anamika Khanna shared,

“The essence of this event was to offer an experience that transcends fashion—something that speaks to the very soul of the AK|OK woman. Her journey, strength, and individuality are reflected in everything she wears. Clothes aren’t just garments anymore; they carry emotions. Through this play, we aimed to create an emotional connection that would resonate with every woman who sees a piece of herself in AK|OK.”
