Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is a Tribute to Ambition

Alfa Romeo has recently announced the return of the legendary 33 Stradale, an icon of the 1960s, considered by many to be one of the most attractive automobiles of all time, and descended directly from the Tipo 33 – once a prominent name in international motorsport.?

A undertaking that commemorates the brand's history with respect and propels it into the future. The new 33 Stradale bridges the gap between internal combustion engines of the past and electric vehicles of the future by meticulously and respectfully reinterpreting the 1967 33 Stradale's styling. A vehicle that serves as the Alfa Romeo manifesto and foresees certain aspects of the brand's future.

Alfa Romeo is returning to the world of "fuoriserie" (custom-built) automobiles after more than 50 years with a limited series of 33 units, all of which have been sold.

The 33 Stradale is a road-legal 'fuoriserie' ('custom-built') vehicle that offers exceptional performance on the racecourse without sacrificing comfort or usability, even on a daily basis.

Handcrafted at the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, their tailor-made quality standards guarantee compulsive attention to detail. Each vehicle is intended to be a one-of-a-kind, unrepeatable work of art that will go down in Alfa Romeo lore.

An unprecedented level of customization: to ensure the one-of-a-kind nature of each model, we now have the "Bottega," a team of Alfa Romeo professionals who collaborate with customers from the outset to co-create a car that is unique in every detail, with the option of "signing" the chassis number personally.

The initiative demonstrates Alfa Romeo's commitment to producing exclusive limited editions through artisanal processes, technological innovation, and in-depth consumer interaction.

The project is the result of the fervour of the Alfa Romeo team, whose goal was to create something unique in the automotive industry and within the Stellantis Group, but above all, something that could live up to the brand's legacy. The opportunity of a lifetime for automotive enthusiasts who have converted their passion into their profession.

In the words of Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Alfa Romeo brand:

"With the new 33 Stradale, we wanted to create something that was worthy of our heritage, that would serve the brand, and that would make the Alfisti fanbase proud. Such a result would not have been possible without the expertise, dedication, and passion of our team, as well as the support of management who has the clear ambition to contribute to composing the brand's future chapters while honouring its rich heritage. This is the first custom-built vehicle produced by the brand since 1969, but it won't be the last."

An exceptional driving experienceThe Alfa Romeo team has set itself the ambitious aim of providing a track car-like driving experience in a model suitable for everyday use on the road, without sacrificing comfort and safety for everyday use. Therefore, the new 33 Stradale represents the pinnacle of Alfa Romeo engineering, as evidenced by its double-arm suspension with active shock absorbers and the evolution of its 2.9-liter V6 engine.

The new Alfa Romeo special edition is available with a V6 twin-turbo engine producing over 620 horsepower or as a BEV with over 750 horsepower. Both versions are exceptional in terms of performance. The maximum speed is 333 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes less than three seconds.

The double-arm suspension with active shock absorbers and the front axle elevation contribute to the vehicle's manoeuvrability and comfort. The efficacy of the Alfa Romeo Brake-By-Wire braking system and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes is exceptional.

The aluminium H-frame and carbon fibre monocoque ensure the vehicle's rigidity and light weight. Again to ensure high levels of rigidity and safety, a carbon fibre and aluminium roof structure with hinged butterfly doors has been designed.  The window casings are also constructed from carbon fibre, while the rear window is made from polycarbonate.

Valtteri Bottas will support the car's refining on the legendary Balocco track, bringing F1 experience to everyday driving and ensuring Alfa Romeo's distinctive handling.
