An initiative by Cheval Blanc hotels and LVMH Group for medical workers

French culinary specialist’s welcome medical clinic workers to their cafés to express gratitude toward them for their commitment during the emergency, initiative by Cheval Blanc hotels and LVMH Group

To thank emergency clinic work force for their gigantic endeavors during the Covid-19 emergency, Cheval Blanc hotels and the LVMH Group propelled an activity on June 12 called  “À table, les soignants!”, which translates to “Dinner is served, caregivers”.

LVMH Moet Hennessy- Louis Vuitton SE, also called LVMH, is French multinational corporation with headquarter in Paris, France. The LVMH Group is known to have ramped up the activation of its COVID-19 alleviation activities around the globe, during the crisis period. Over its luxury portfolio, a few LVMH brands have propelled projects to help battle the COVID-19 pandemic and bolster different stakeholders throughout the emergency.

Several LVMH brands have likewise taken part in Fashion Journalist Laurence Benaïm's charity sell-off, which profited the 'SOS EPHAD' activity propelled by the Foundation Recherche Alzheimer. The assets were utilized to help nursing homes, which have been significantly affected by the COVID-19 emergency. Several LVMH design brands including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Kenzo, Fred, and Loewe have collaborated to make individual PPE kits and face masks for health care workers and clinical front liners around the world. Now when the crisis is at a declining state, LVMH group took this opportunity to show their gratitude towards all the health care workers, who worked selflessly throughout the crisis.

The activity was propelled by Arnaud Donckele, culinary expert at the three-star eatery La Vague d'Or in the Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez inn, he said “Going to a restaurant is the promise of a wonderful time. After the incredibly difficult weeks that medical staff went through, my fellow chefs and I wanted to do what we do best to thank you, namely prepare dinner for two, a gift of really good food prepared with a spirit of generosity from the heart. We want to express our deep gratitude and admiration to all those who have taken care of us.”

To honor this noble thought of Arnaud Donckele, called “À table, les soignants!”, LVMH and Cheval Blanc joined hands to create a digital platform to connect all the healthcare workers and the partnering restaurants. The hospital personnel can sign up through an association called ‘’Solidarity with caregivers”, this organization shall centralize all the donation amounts to convert them into reservation for dinner for this initiative. The Michelin Guide shall also reach out to its strong network of chefs as well as their millions of readers to are willing to take part in this noble initiative.

An immersive menu called “Le Bon Menu” has been created by the partner chefs who shall donate their 10% of the total price to fund more dinners for the  “À table, les soignants!” initiative. Since June 12, around 224 tables (accommodating two people) have been reserved. This initiative is open to the contributions from public to make this event a grand success.
