Anita Dongre X Citta: The Promise Of Hope

The 'Promise of Hope' bracelet made by Anita Dongre for CITTA is an effort to fund and maintain the education of kids at the Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls' School in Jaisalmer, India. This bracelet was created with the hope that young women would have access to their deepest goals and the freedom to select their own path.

"The Promise Of Hope" is more than a piece of jewellery; it is a pledge to provide young women with the education they need to live their best lives.

The pupils of Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls' School are the Thar area of Rajasthan's offspring of weavers, embroiderers, and nomads. This culture has believed for ages that a boy's right to strive and dream is to become a man who can support his family. With the establishment of this school and the cultivation of this community, nearly four hundred girls recover the right to have aspirations and hope for a life of their choice. The purpose of the school is to educate and teach women in traditional skill sets like as painting, weaving, and embroidery. The royal family of Jaisalmer has joined the school's board of directors, and Manvendra Singh Shekhawat has given the school's land.

Michael Daube, the founder of CITTA, states,

"Many of the school's pupils are first-generation learners. Our objective is to instil not just knowledge but also self-assurance in the females. This will have a beneficial ripple effect on how women are treated in their families and communities."

The empowerment of women, according to designer Anita Dongre, is a precondition for a genuinely inclusive and progressive India. She works closely with talented craftsmen and weavers around the nation to empower and revitalise India's rural communities via the artisanal community.

"The Promise Of Hope" is a physical manifestation of the hope she sees in every little girl.

Anita states,

"The ladies of the Thar desert are resourceful and courageous, finding happiness despite some of the most difficult living situations. I joined with CITTA because we both believe that all girls should be encouraged to have boundless creativity, passion, and ambition. By joining together to support the Rajkumari Ratnavati School, we take one more step toward a society in which women embrace hope as a given and pursue their ambitions."

The bracelet was introduced during an event with CITTA and Anita's special guests on November 17 at the Anita Dongre Flagship store in New York, and is now for sale on the Anita Dongre website and at Anita Dongre shops across the globe. One hundred percent of the revenue from the sale of this bracelet will be donated to CITTA to help educate and empower these young women.
