Art and Luxury Real Estate

Every invention or a creation today is mostly derived out of a concept, a concept to create a relation between an idea and our mindset. Introducing you all to a concept turned into a new trend in various parts of the world- ART in Luxury real Estate.

As intriguing the title is, there is simplicity in understanding it. When we think of the term Art, it is often said to be the outcome of a creative mindset. But what if this creative outcome also evokes our emotions and feelings just by the view of it? Art stimulates and glorifies modern architecture, starting from the sense of colors when blended together hung up on a wall, to the unique 3D masterpiece being the center of attraction of that property. Art is followed by the sensation of elegance and richness, all coming to us by just a glance. When we walk into a site, we need to foresee our lifestyle in that space, Art takes the pleasure in pleasing our eyes.

Luxury is a sense of lifestyle that we bring into our lives, and fine art is a form of a luxurious offering that we add to our property's atmosphere. Hence, the best way to bring interest in our space is to understand the flair of the kind of artwork that talks instead of you. Art does not just fit in anywhere we want them too, to make it stand out the interior designers carefully choose the spot and work with the pieces within the space. The intersection of Art into Luxury properties draws the interest of many buyers who are already well versed with highly priced items. With stiff competition in the market and in real need to stand out, various real estate owners seem to have an increasing interest in this dimension to glorify the property.

Art creates a setting in a property that immediately connects with the buyers, creating an appealing space inside the property as well as their minds too.

In the Luxury real estate market, places like London, Miami and New York have already shown great interest in the relationship between the art and real estate. Examples being- In London, the House of the Nobleman showed interest and started a professional relationship with Amazon Property at The Park Crescent. On the other hand, Thierry Dreyfus, an artist, was hired for a 40-story LED installation in Manhattan.

Art, whether bought for your own property or to sell that property, acts as an additional elemental value. Art in its form has nobly impacted the sales in the real estate market making it a new trend for the upcoming buyers and drawing their interests. Today, many of us look for an aesthetic background or a wall to please our sight and satisfy our mind- Art in such cases acts as a missing piece of a puzzle and if it fits right, you have your beautiful sight!

Adding an angle to the look and feel of the property, it also encapsulates the kind of lifestyle that buyers look forward to achieving. A good selection of artwork can help many real estate agents to list their property’s into the luxury real estate market helping them become exceptional in front of their competitors. Soon artwork will turn into an essential amenity for these luxury real estate properties in order to gain attention, interests and popularity in the market from and around the globe.

Another good example in relation to art and real estate is visible in the city of Miami. After learning about the correlation between the two, many agents as well as developers in the city are looking for those kinds of buyers who fancy art.

From the ancient period to the modern era, Art has defined its royalty for the ancient and luxury for the modern. Be it in the structures and art pieces placed in the forts and Mahal or unique paintings and 3D art in the mansions today, its visibility has been constant to those who understand this kind of lifestyle.

In simple words, Art plays with the psychology of humans. Each art piece around you will radiate a vibe or create an aura of its own for you to understand the atmosphere of that place. It helps the designers to carefully choose the kind of art piece they can work with and in that way it becomes an excellent marketing strategy helping the artist/Art gallery along with the agents to promote their work. What models are to the fashion industry, Art is the same to the real estate industry. Both amplify the look and feel of their respective products.

Every industry finds its new trend and wings through, and Art is becoming the new trend for this industry by enriching the quality and creativity of not only the designers but also helps in enhancing the structure of the property. Over time the designers realized the importance and the pattern of the art influencing a buyers interest, it all simply started with one fancy wall, paintings hanging around or by placing a sculpture in a corner which would usually pass without anyone's attention but still bringing in the sensation of lure at the back of one’s mind making the developers utilize and convert the small spaces that were previously overlooked and now bringing in art into them. No space is not enough for the art to fit in, just the right one's need to be rectified or designed.

Art has its own way of expressing rather explaining the kind of setting that belongs to the room, each artwork conveys different emotions. While some can get intense, another would indicate calm, while one has a story to convey, another can simply be an eye-catching abstract blending perfectly against the wall. The goal of art in luxury is to create a mood for its viewers and to stimulate emotions in them. Art in these properties satisfies and completes the overall look and feel of the place. It is the finishing touch for the designers in the completion process before producing the final product to its buyers to appeal to them. I woke up this morning, in order to learn about what was happening around the world, I decided to pick up the newspaper and go through it. As soon as I opened the paper I saw huge advertisements of real estate property, of them half of which were classified as luxury homes and office spaces. As I kept looking I realized that in the photography that they have used to market in the advertisement, they showcased various artworks in the space for the viewers to understand the type of property they were trying to sell.

Buyers of these luxury estates have a very luscious taste and expect the best quality in everything they choose. Be it art, design or their lifestyles, these buyers want to undertake things that no one apart from them own, they prefer to have things they are different and yet exquisite. To get the attention of these buyers, the designers go to the extent to find famous artist's popular work or come up with unique art pieces or sculptures to make their properties stand out from the rest in the market.

Art is the secret strategy for the agents to get the interests of buyers, while the brush becomes their weapon, many art exhibitions are held in these properties to showcase the beauty of art reflected on their walls. These two industries have been working together and increasing their sales by complementing each other’s work so much that now aesthetic walls are designed in order to match art form to fit into the space.

While art requires a physical platform, designing requires a digital screen and when these two act there they make masterpieces that play a huge role for these real estates. These are then used for advertising, marketing, branding and creating a buzz in the market. Art in some sense can bridge the time gap for the architects and designers. When you surf on the internet you will find examples of luxury homes bought by various individuals and popular or known personalities just for their artwork, for how the designers weaved art into the property and infused art into their designs, right from the entrance to their rooftops. Each section of these properties are carefully designed in a way that will give you an insight of what true luxury feels like to one.

In addition to this, many five star or high end hotels, resorts and islands have observed the trend passing and have redesigned the look of their property by infusing popular artwork and sculptures around their place. This is their way of ensuring that their customers, along with having the best experience, can also have the pleasure of an unforgettable insight of their respective property. Famous and unique art pieces are no longer just seen as great artwork but also assets for some of these real estates and their owners making their investments worthwhile.

To sum everything up, Art and real estate has been working alongside for centuries together and have gained recognition again in the modern era creating a trend in the market. Both of these industries have contributed in increasing the sales for one another which overall helped them to make profits.

With the emerging demands for luxury homes in cities like Paris, London, New york, Miami, Mumbai, Berlin, Dubai, Hong Kong and many others, these cities are absorbing great artwork into their architectures creating projects that are worth billions by aiming at making large infrastructures hence contributing in the development of their cities.

The importance of art was recognized when one became aware of its psychological impact on mankind. The aura of art in these properties have gotten the interests of many buyers around the world which motivates various artists all around to come up with unique and great designs that catches everyone's attention.

To my understanding of art in luxury real estate market- The art pieces and designs standout better when are kept simple yet make their presence felt to everyone in the room, the colors used for those designs that complement and blends well with the background, the sleek design customized for that particular space, the size and overall feel of that piece making it not just an artwork but a luxurious masterpiece.
