In its upcoming 'Jewellery, Silver, and Timepieces' Auction, AstaGuru will offer a collection of exquisite jewellery, vintage silver, and extraordinary timepieces. The catalogue has been scrupulously curated to include a wide variety of refined artisanal pieces that are emblematic of the exceptional design and craftsmanship heritage of various regions of the globe.

In addition to highlighting the legacy of the influential movement, the selection features a number of Art Deco-inspired works.

Lot no. 39 is a significant set of emerald and diamond necklace and ear ornaments with old-cut diamonds, emeralds, and emerald pears set in gold.

The emeralds originated in Panjshir.

Jewellery, Silver, and Timepieces Auction will feature magnificent one-of-a-kind pieces. 

It is anticipated to sell for between INR 1,450,000 and 1,600,000. Another emerald piece is lot 52, a gold bracelet with emeralds interspersed with diamonds of a light exotic yellow hue and a minimalist design. This quantity is estimated to sell for between 70,000 and 90,000 INR.

Lot 43 is a natural fancy-colored diamond choker necklace with an estimated price range of INR 850,000 to 1,000,000. The assortment of fancy-colored diamonds is available in various configurations. In 19th-century Europe, bib-like attachments on male and female garments gained popularity and were later adapted into necklaces.

Since then, the design has found its way into various eras and fashions, ranging from vintage to avant-garde.

Lot 17 is another magnificent example of exotic coloured diamond jewellery. The meticulously crafted bracelet is composed of gold with a border of marquise diamonds and variously shaped fancy-colored diamonds set in the centre. It is estimated to retail for between INR 350,000 and INR 450,000. Lot no. 7 is a bracelet comprised of a remarkable assortment of natural fancy-colored diamonds. It is expected to sell for between 33,000 and 35,000 INR.

Lot no. 49 comprises a necklace, a pair of ear clips, and a ring set with old mine Burmese ruby cabochons and diamond & diamond baguettes. This style is representative of the 1960s. It is estimated to sell for between INR 90,000,000 and INR 1,000,000. Lot no. 36 is a necklace of natural five rows of Burmese ruby beads with diamond side terminals. It is estimated to cost between INR 450,000 and INR 600,000.

Lot no. 34 is a set of tanzanite and diamond jewellery with an estimated selling price range of INR 65,000 to 80,000. The set consists of a necklace, a pair of ear ornaments, a ring, and a bracelet with massive tanzanite cabochons. Lot 14 is a remarkable pair of diamond ear pendants mounted in gold and set with an exceptional pair of tanzanites surrounded by diamond ovals, carrées, and marquises. It is estimated to sell for between 26,000 and 30,000 INR.

The auction will also feature an assortment of bracelets. Lot no. 48 is a remarkable bracelet of diamonds and blue sapphires with calibre-cut blue sapphires and diamonds. It is composed of five central medallions separated by panels of intricate jaali work. It is estimated to cost between INR 250,000 and INR 300,000 to acquire.

Lot no. 26 is an openwork design inspired by the Mughal era, set with white diamonds and a single line of natural exotic yellow diamonds. It is estimated to retail for between INR 180,000 and INR 220,000.

In addition, the auction will feature a selection of jewellery influenced by the revolutionary Art Deco design.

Lot no. 11 is an Art Deco-inspired coral and diamond bracelet affixed in gold. Price estimates range from 12,000 to 15,000 INR. Lot no. 15 is a Cartier Art Deco ring. Cartier is a prominent jewellery brand. This statement piece is mounted in platinum and features a magnificent Colombian emerald flanked by two baguette diamonds. It is estimated to cost between INR 15,00,000 and INR 18,00,000.

Lot no. 16 is a diamond bracelet with an Art Deco design that is valued between INR 20,000,000 and INR 22,000,000. Lot number 25 is a pair of multi-gem brooches inspired by the popular Art Deco Tutti-Frutti design. It is estimated to sell for between 6,300 and 7,500 INR.

Lot no. 47 consists of a pair of prestigious Art Deco Emerald ear ornaments. The classic pendants feature dazzling Colombian emerald droplets suspended from a platinum surmount set with old-cut diamonds, baguette-cut diamonds, and triangle-cut diamonds. It is estimated to cost between INR 30,000 and INR 35,000.

In addition to an exquisite selection of rings and earclips, the jewellery collection also includes a variety of cufflinks.

Lot no. 3 is a minimally designed diamond ring set with a remarkable old-cut diamond flanked by two baguette diamonds. It is anticipated to retail for INR 21,000 to 25,000.

Lot number 23 is a gold-mounted emerald, diamond, and ruby statement bracelet. It is estimated to cost between 12,000 and 15,000 INR. Lot no. 40 is a magnificent diamond ring featuring a large antique European-cut diamond in a milgrain setting. It is estimated to cost between 30,000 and 35,000 INR.

Lot 12 is a pair of exquisite emerald earclips with a large oval-shaped Zambian emerald surrounded by round diamonds, diamond baguettes, and oval-shaped diamonds. It is expected to sell for between INR 23,500,000 and INR 250,000

Another magnificent pair of emerald earclips, Lot number 18, consists of four Zambian pear-shaped emeralds and three pear-shaped diamond droplets. It is anticipated to cost between INR 30,80,000 and INR 34,00,000.

Lot no. 20 is a pair of Georgian-style diamond ear ornaments with three diamond droplets suspended from a surmount intricately set with oval diamonds and diamond pears. It is estimated to cost between 33,000 and 50,000 INR.

Highlights of silver assortment

The silver collection is a testament to the skilled metalworking techniques that India and Europe pioneered in the past.

Lot 74 is a large silver Georgian vase with a gadroon border and three animal claw feet. This Balfour bowl from the 19th century is estimated to sell for between INR 13,05,000 and INR 15,00,000.

Lot 78 is a silver European tea service with this. The borders are embossed in low relief with a uniform pattern. It is estimated to cost between INR 5,22,960 and INR 6,00,000. Lot number 82 is a rare silver hookah. The body depicts a woman holding a mythological marine creature with scales in one hand and a floral chillum in the other. The estimated selling price range is INR 11,70,900 to 13,00,000.

Lot 87 is a European five-piece continental (Italian) tea and coffee service in the Rococo style, including a stand-mounted tea kettle. It is estimated to sell for between INR 6,67,440 and INR 750,000. A set of glass decanters with silver frames is lot number 91. It is anticipated to sell for between INR 5,16,560 and 6,00,000.

The 92nd lot is a six-light Victorian candelabrum with a reeded central column and three animal claw-like bases. It is anticipated to retail for between 10,22,400 and 12,80,000 INR. A five-piece continental tea and coffee set with a tray is lot number 95.

The ensemble is decorated with floral relief panels in a Victorian pattern. It is estimated to cost between INR 7,64,880 and INR 8,500,000.

The lot number 96 is an impressive large silver tray created by John Edward Terry. The body is flat-chased and decorated with floral motifs in low relief. The applied border featuring a motif of glazed shells and vines. supported by four cascading feet. In the middle of the tray is a coat of arms. It is estimated to cost between 10,82,000 and 12,000 INR.

Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, Chopard, Omega, Breguet, Bvlgari, and Franck Muller are among the globally renowned luxury brands whose cutting-edge timepieces are featured in the auction. The auction will take place on May 28-29, 2023. 

Patek Philippe's coveted timepieces are featured prominently in the auction's lineup.

Patek Philippe (PP), founded in 1839 in Geneva, Switzerland, is a member of the Holy Trinity. They have a history of creating some of the world's most exquisite and intricate timepieces and are regarded as one of the most prestigious watchmaking brands.

Lot 170 is a Nautilus Moon Phase Wristwatch with the reference number 5726. The watch has a grey dial, an automatic movement with day, date, and month functions, and a stainless steel case. This lot includes the original packaging and documentation. It is estimated to sell for between INR 770,000 and INR 99,000.

The lot number 163 is a Patek Philippe 18k White Gold Annual Calendar Wristwatch with the reference number 5205G-001. It has an automatic movement with an annual calendar and a power reserve of 45 hours. This lot will be presented with the original packaging and papers and is estimated to sell for between INR 32,85,000 and INR 38,800.

The wristwatch at lot number 164 is a Patek Philippe 18k Yellow Gold Grand Complication Perpetual Calendar. It features an 18k yellow gold case with a white ivory dial. Examples of complications include a perpetual calendar and moonphase. It will be priced between INR 32,00,000 and INR 42,00,000.

The lot number 165 is a Patek Philippe 18k Rose Gold World Time Wristwatch with Reference Number 5130R. The self-winding automatic watch has an 18k rose gold case with a silver world time bezel and a brown alligator strap with an 18k rose gold fastener. This lot includes the original packaging and documentation. It is expected to sell for between INR 26,00,000 and INR 29,90,000.

The auction will also feature an assortment of exquisite Rolex timepieces. Rolex, which was founded in 1905, is atop the watchmaking pyramid. Every watch offered by this brand claims precise timekeeping due to a revolutionary, innovative watchmaking procedure.

Lot 119 is a Rolex GMT Master II(Rootbeer) wristwatch with reference number 16713 L serial. It has an automatic movement with a date display, a stainless steel case with a brown dial, and a power reserve of 42 hours. It is estimated to cost between 750,000 and 950,000 INR.

Breguet's 18k Rose Gold Tradition Wristwatch REF NO. 7057 is lot number 133. It is manually wound and features a power reserve indicator. It is priced between INR 12,850,000 and INR 16,850,000.
