Automobili Lamborghini Inaugurates New Philadelphia Retail Space
Sant'Agata Bolognese/Philadelphia, PA, April 6, 2023
Automobili Lamborghini proclaims the inauguration of its new Philadelphia retail space during an exclusive grand opening ceremony.
Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephan Winkelmann, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini, and Lamborghini America Chief Executive Officer Andrea Baldi attended the occasion to cut the ribbon alongside Dealer Principal Robert DiTanislao.
Winkelmann stated,
"Following the greatest year in terms of sales and revenue in 2022, Lamborghini continues to make significant advances forward in retail and with the world première of the Revuelto[1], our first High Performance Electrified Vehicle. With demand for Lamborghini vehicles at an all-time high, the new Philadelphia showroom is positioned to better support and provide an even more elevated experience for our consumers, particularly as the brand transitions into a new era of electrified vehicles."
In terms of deliveries, revenue, and profitability, 2022 was a record-breaking year for Lamborghini. Last year, 9,233 automobiles were delivered, including 2,721 to the United States, the largest single market in the world. As a result, the company's revenue reached 2.38 billion euros for the first time ever. In addition, the brand's operating margin of 25.9 percent was the highest in the luxury automobile industry. These records arrive at a crucial moment, as Lamborghini prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2023 and join the second phase of its investment programme, Direzione Cor Tauri.
Lamborghini Revuelto, the company's first V12 hybrid plug-in, debuted to a crowd of VIPs and media.
FIRST STEP
As the first step in phase two of this new electric era, Lamborghini introduced its first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) — the Revuelto — during its global première on March 29 and its U.S. début on April 4 at the Lamborghini Lounge New York. Combining the power of a brand-new 6.5-liter V12 mid-engine with three electric motors and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, this new hybrid plug-in generates more than 1000 horsepower. The Revuelto is nimble and effective on the road and track due to its optimised weight distribution.
In addition to the new hybrid system, the supercar features three additional drive modes: Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance, for a total of thirteen dynamic configurations.
"The inauguration of Lamborghini Philadelphia is a major accomplishment for us," said DiStanislao. This new location enables us to offer the exceptional service that is synonymous with the Lamborghini experience.
Lamborghini Philadelphia, located at 311 West Lancaster Avenue in Devon, is the ideal showcase for the brand's latest supercars, including the V10-powered Huracán Tecnica, the off-road Huracán Sterrato, and two new Urus Super SUV models, the high-performance Urus Performante and the powerful yet refined Urus S. At the Philadelphia reception, the Urus Performante was spotted. The Super SUV can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and has a maximum speed of 190 mph. Consumers have begun accepting deliveries at a suggested retail price of $260,678 USD.
This 11,040 square foot retail space features a 360-degree client experience reflective of the brand's cutting-edge design, which is characterised by polygons, pointed forms, and a diffusion of colour and light. An Ad Personam customization chamber showcasing the brand's bespoke offerings allows customers to physically handle and experiment with colour and material combinations, such as supple leathers and the appearance of carbon fibre. The fashion offerings of Collezione and Accessori Originali enhance the showroom-visiting consumer experience.
