Automobili Pininfarina, Based in Munich, Germany, Has Released a High-end Luggage Set Made Specifically For The Battista Hyper GT

Matching the Battista super GT's individualised interior and appearance, Automobili Pininfarina has designed a unique, high-end four-piece baggage set. The Italian design concept behind the handmade baggage line is the same as that of the pure-electric masterpiece it was made to accompany.

Automobili Pininfarina has released a brand new four-piece baggage set designed just for Battista.

Luxury cabin luggage, weekend bags, and suit cases start at €25,000 from this exclusive collection made just for the inside of the all-electric super GT.

In addition to the customisation possibilities for the hand-finished Battista, a tailored baggage set is now available, ensuring a perfect fit between the car and its contents.

As a nod to the interior design of the Villa d'Este 2021 award-winning Verde Paradiso Battista, the first set is upholstered in tan leather with matching stitching and Triangolo quilting.

"Every experience with Battista will be distinctive for its owner," said Francesco Cundari, Director of Interior Design at Automobili Pininfarina. In collaboration with our design team, you can customise this baggage set to reflect the finer points of your own distinctive Battista.

The Battista super GT now comes with a handmade baggage set that follows the same Italian design philosophy as the groundbreaking pure-electric marvel it was made for.

The staff at Automobili Pininfarina created the set to coordinate flawlessly with the customised inside and exterior of a Battista, down to the leather, colour scheme, and stitching. The hyper GT's design is reflected in the bags, which feature Y-shaped wing elements and the signature curves of the all-electric supercar's exterior and cabin.

The Battista can be personalised with your choice of 13.9 quintillion exterior colour schemes and 128 million interior colour schemes and trims. Customization options for the new matching baggage line are available, such as a one-of-a-kind Residenza home wallbox charger created by Pininfarina SpA that can be ordered with your own name on it.

"Throughout the client process, we make sure that we develop something unique to compliment each individual Battista," stated Francesco Cundari, Director of Interior Designer at Automobili Pininfarina. We've taken cues from the super GT and the world of fashion to design a four-piece baggage set that's as as unique as the Battista interiors our customers order.

The four-piece set is created to measure and has a cabin and shoe bag that fit snugly in the Battista's 48-liter baggage area, beneath the sleek 'Goccia' roof, where they are viewable through the glass rear screen. The weekend bag is ideal for one-person trips and can be secured in the passenger seat, while the suit bag may be hung neatly behind the driver's seat. The Y-shaped accent that can be seen while looking down on a Battista can be seen at the front of each individual component, as well as in the GT and Pilota seats that may be installed in any given Battista.

Both the inside of the Battista and the new high-end baggage set are upholstered in chrome-free leather; the latter was dyed using olive leaf extract from the Piemonte area, so the former is also environmentally friendly. This method of tanning the leather eliminates the need for chemical treatments, reducing the overall environmental impact of making Battista. Twice yearly, every Battista is responsible for collecting the leaves, and each batch can be tracked. The luxuriously smooth semi-aniline leather goes through a stringent certification process before being approved by a panel focused on responsible innovation.

"We chose partners who share our vision of a future where luxury and sustainability are one," stated Sara Campagnolo, Director of Color and Materials Design at Automobili Pininfarina. Sustainable processes, such as tanning using olive leaves, are used to make the leather used in Battista's custom luggage range. The baggage is a visual representation of Battista's aesthetic versatility, giving owners a tactile experience similar to that of their super GT even when it's not in use.

Alcantara, a plush interior material available from Battista, lines the inside of the suitcases, adding a touch of class. Authentic Automobili Pininfarina merchandise always contains the brand's identifying Triangolo pattern in bold quilted form. Battista and its accompanying baggage come in a wide range of colours that were inspired by the scenery and wines of the Piemonte area of Italy, where it is made.

Aras, a local company formed in 1989 that specialises in high-end upholstery for automobile interiors and accessories, collaborated with us to make the baggage. It takes more than 200 hours to handcraft a single pair of luggage due to the intricate work involved in shaping, treating, and sewing the leather.

THE AUTOMOBILI PININFARINA BATTISTA

The Battista will be the most powerful vehicle ever created in Italy, and its performance will exceed anything now possible in a street-legal, internal combustion engine-powered sports car. The Battista will combine extraordinary engineering and technology in a zero-emissions package, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds (which is faster than any existing Formula 1 racing vehicle) and to generate 1,900 horsepower and 2,340 Nm of torque. The Battista has a combined WLTP range of up to 476 km (296 miles), US EPA combined: 300 miles, all thanks to its 120 kWh battery that powers four electric motors, one at each wheel. At the Battista Atelier in Cambiano, Italy, no more than 150 units will ever be individually hand-crafted.
