Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is a New Grand Touring SUV With Industry-First Seat Technology That Prioritizes Health

Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is a new, 180 mm-longer grand touring SUV that focuses on health and incorporates world-first seat technology. The automobile is the product of a nine-figure investment by the British luxury manufacturer to build a new vehicle with the finest back interior experience since the Mulsanne, while preserving the Bentley characteristics of superior performance, superb handcraftsmanship, and limitless customization.

The new model has a larger profile and a revised front grille, polished 22-inch 10-spoke wheels, and a relocated sunroof. Inspired by the new grille on the Flying Spur, the Bentayga EWB has a 'Vertical Vane Grille' with brilliant chrome vertical vanes in front of a black mesh grille. The 22-inch 10-spoke Bentayga wheel for the Bentayga EWB is now available with a mirror-polished finish.

The vehicle is powered by Bentley's 4.0-liter, 32-valve, dual twin-scroll turbocharged V8 gasoline engine, which provides tremendous power and exceptional fuel efficiency. The V8 gives supercar performance, producing 542 bhp (550 PS) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque, resulting in a peak speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and acceleration from 0-60 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds (100 km/h in 4.6 seconds).

Standard on the Bentayga EWB are Electronic All Wheel Steering and Bentley Dynamic Ride.

The Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) extends the wheelbase and rear interior room by an additional 180 millimetres over the newest second-generation Bentayga. The Bentley design team modified the Body-in-White, the underfloor, the side panels, the door, and the roof. This increase causes the car's wheelbase to extend from 2995 mm to 3175 mm, and its total length to rise from 5322 mm. The added length is entirely in the back door, giving a luxuriously spacious rear compartment.

The new Bentley Airline Seat is the most sophisticated seat ever installed in a vehicle, with 22-way adjustability and world-first innovations in auto temperature monitoring and posture correction technology. In Relax mode, the seat may recline to an angle of 40 degrees, while the front passenger seat is motorised forward and a leather-trimmed footrest is deployed from the rear of the front passenger seat. In Business Mode, the seat reclines to its most upright position to facilitate working on the go. The auto climate seat technology calculates whether to apply heat, ventilation, or both simultaneously based on the occupant's temperature and surface humidity. By sensing pressure throughout the seat surface, the postural adjustment system performs micro-adjustments to the occupant's sitting posture and pressure points. Improving comfort, the device is able to deliver 177 separate pressure adjustments across six entirely independent pressure zones over the course of three hours.

The new Bentayga has a more sophisticated stitching pattern that was produced utilising digital craftsmanship. Diamonds may be seen extending symmetrically from the centre of the seatback shoulder panels and along the length of the door, mirroring the car's own expansion. The revised inside design of the rear door has an exclusive pattern that highlights the available 'Metal Overlay in Veneer'. Using a 0.07 mm-thick metal strip, an elaborate pattern is bonded by hand to the veneer before the component is lacquered and polished.

New elements such as Bentley Diamond Illumination demonstrate how technology merges with contemporary craftsmanship to create an extraordinarily sophisticated appearance with opulent materials. LEDs (12 on each of the front doors and 22 on each of the rear doors) emanate light via 1 mm-diameter holes in the leather trim on the door panels to create the lighting effect. The client may regulate the strength and colour of the lighting via the trim using the infotainment system and Touch Screen Remote.

For the first time, power closing doors may be chosen on a Bentley. Two switches are accessible to back passengers on the rear face of the expanded centre console. When the switch is depressed and held, specialised motors shut the door on the appropriate side of the car.

At launch, two upgraded versions of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase will be offered. The Azure has a unique 22" directional wheel with 10 spokes, colourful lower bumper grilles, Azure embroidery, and Azure badging. The First Edition adds Bentley Diamond Illumination, metal veneer overlays, Naim for Bentley Premium Audio, and LED welcome lights to the standard features. This type is particularly unusual and distinctive because to its unique embroidery, inlays, and branding.
