Chalet Hotels Limited (CHL) has secured board approval for the acquisition of Mahananda Spa and Resorts Private Limited, the owning company of The Westin Resort and Spa, Himalayas (TWRS) in Rishikesh. The 141-room luxury resort, set against the majestic backdrop of the Himalayas, represents a strategic expansion into the fast-growing leisure, spiritual, and wellness tourism segment. CHL aims to leverage this acquisition to enhance premium hospitality experiences while driving long-term value creation.

Definitive Agreement in Progress

CHL is in the process of finalizing a definitive agreement with Mankind Pharma Limited for the complete acquisition of Mahananda Spa and Resorts Private Limited. The transaction, valued at Rs. 5.3 billion, is expected to conclude soon, further reinforcing CHL’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India’s luxury hospitality sector.
