INCREASING DEMAND FOR LUXURY VACATIONS ARE SURE TO SCARE OFF THE VIRUS!
A new survey by Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has revealed that demand for luxury vacations is actually increasing in 2020. Affluent travelers are eager to fly out and holiday in small hotels where their trips can be curated and managed. The results showed that 43 percent of North Americans polled were planning to travel domestically and 38 percent internationally this year.
The survey has determined three categories of travellers-
The Travel Ready, who have already booked their trips.
The Travel Reserved, who have expressed interest in travelling, but are still cautious.
The Travel Reluctant, who still have certain qualms and will only plan something after the pandemic subsides.
Another salient feature of the results showed a greater inclination towards residing in small hotels on the accommodation front. Flexible bookings and solid health and safety protocols, are also, understandably, prospective travellers’ top priorities.
SLH, with its small residences and hotels in low-key, secluded locations has made it possible for guests to have a truly private and secure experience. The company has an impressive portfolio of 520 hotels in almost 90 countries, and has also come up with the ‘Stay Small, Stay Safe’ program along with the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (which specializes in biological threats and biohazard situations and real-time crises), to work toward providing third party accreditation for all member SLH hotels.
