A unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience is on the horizon for Bengaluru, as the Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru proudly presents an exploration of the exceptional cuisine of Coorg at CUR8, the hotel's signature restaurant, on November 15th and 16th.
This two-day pop-up at Four Seasons showcases the extraordinary culinary abilities of home chefs and is the third in a series of one-of-a-kind collaborations with Chef Pin.
In this most recent pop-up, home chef Radhica Muthappa highlights the immensely vibrant and opulent Kodava cuisine, which is surprisingly obscure.
Located in the secluded western region of Karnataka, Coorg is renowned not only for its awe-inspiring scenery but also for its unique and delectable gastronomy. Coorgi cuisine, also known as Kodava cuisine, is a culinary expression that mirrors the customs and heritage of the Kodava people. This region is renowned for its generous hosts and appreciation of hearty, natural tastes.
Central to this gastronomic extravaganza is Radhica Muthappa, an enthusiastic amateur chef who has attained expertise in this gastronomic domain. Invoking her profound admiration for the Kodava culture, Muthappa intends to concoct dishes that honour the region's illustrious culinary legacy.
Her culinary trajectory has been noteworthy, commencing with employment at The Park Hotel in Chennai and culminating in the operation of two cloud kitchens from her residence in Bangalore. Her years of experience have allowed her to develop her expertise in Coorgi cuisine, which guarantees a memorable and authentic culinary experience.
Long unexplored by the majority, the gastronomic pleasures of this micro-cuisine consist of an exquisite fusion of aromatic herbs, indigenous seasonings, and locally sourced ingredients from Coorg. The resulting dishes are substantial, palatable, and firmly grounded in tradition.
Delight in the delectable creations of Radhica Muthappa, such as the renowned 'Pandi Curry with Kadambattu' and the 'Coorg Meatball (Kaima Undey) Curry', and embark on an immersive experience at the Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru that honours the region's culinary heritage, utilising genuine recipes, savouring local ingredients, and upholding a steadfast dedication to excellence and ingenuity.
In a time when the world has become a global village, investigating microcuisines such as Coorgi Cuisine is an experience unlike any other. Guests are invited to engage in conversations with the house chef while gaining knowledge about the state's cuisine and culture in the refined ambiance of CUR8. Stylish furnishings and attentive service contribute to the ambiance that is ideal for a memorable dining experience.
This event serves as an introduction to the Kodava way of life and a pop-up at the Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, thereby combining an exploration of culture and cuisine.
