Four Seasons, the leader in luxury hospitality, continues to grow its development pipeline, improving its experience offerings and driving daring new projects that rely on the company's solid commercial basis and unique emphasis on the premium market.
Through the lens of unrivalled guest-centricity and customization, Four Seasons is investing in a comprehensive commercial strategy that will enhance its capacity to accommodate the rising demand for travel and luxury experiences.
In October, the business selected Alejandro Reynal as president and chief executive officer, marking a new chapter in Four Seasons' illustrious history and leading position in the premium hotel sector.
"Since joining Four Seasons, I have seen the company's distinct competitive advantage: unrivalled service quality, a famous brand, and a corporate culture driven by the true heart of its employees," says Reynal. "Business at Four Seasons is stronger than ever. Our seasoned management team is well positioned to capitalise on the plethora of possibilities that lie ahead, concentrating on an evolved growth strategy that continues to produce value for our hotel owners, workers, guests, and communities."
Reynal says,
"True luxury must always be the genuine expression of individuality. This has always been our brand promise at Four Seasons, and it motivates our employees in every engagement. We continue to invest in our capabilities, equipping our personnel with the resources they need to improve the guest experience and elevate the authentic service that has always been our trademark."
A growing portfolio of prestigious, award-winning properties
Four Seasons has defined the art of luxury hospitality for more than six decades, with an exceptional worldwide portfolio of 126 luxury hotels and resorts and 53 branded homes. Seven exceptional new properties were opened by Four Seasons in 2022, including new hotels and residences in Fort Lauderdale, Minneapolis, and Nashville, as well as two new resort experiences in Mexico, in Tamarindo and with the opening of its first tented-resort in North America at Naviva, Punta Mita, A Four Seasons Resort. Additionally, the firm extended its portfolio of Private Residences in Marrakech and Dubai, giving selective homeowners the option to live with Four Seasons outside of a hotel or resort.
Four Seasons has more than fifty new projects in planning or development, including properties in Italy, Spain, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, and Belize, among others; with each new property it opens, it expands and strengthens its partnerships with new and current owner partners.
In 2024, the firm will extend its offers with the inauguration of two new hotels in Suzhou and Dalian, China, as well as new homes in Bahrain Bay, a second property in Doha, and a hotel in Rabat, Morocco.
Four Seasons has announced planned projects that would further differentiate its worldwide portfolio, including a historic legend in Venice and towering new hotels in Melbourne and Xi'an. In addition, the Middle East remains a significant growth area, with forthcoming developments in Jeddah along the Corniche, Diriyah, New Cairo Capital at Madinaty, Luxor, and Muscat.
The Residential Business of Four Seasons Drives Strategic Growth
Since 1985, when the company's first residential property debuted in Boston, Four Seasons Private Residences have been a natural expansion of the brand. Nearly four decades later, Four Seasons reached a major milestone with the launch of the 50th Four Seasons Private Residences in Fort Lauderdale, with more additions to the portfolio anticipated by the end of 2022.
Residential remains a primary driver of Four Seasons' strategic expansion, with a solid pipeline of over 30 projects internationally over the next five years.
The development of its independent options is fundamental to Four Seasons' residential growth plan. Since the first standalone location opened in London in 2018, the offering has spread to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Marrakech, and Dubai, with the last selling out before going on sale to the general public. There are upcoming establishments in Lake Austin and beyond.
Four Seasons Taking to the Skies, Seas, and Roads
Four Seasons has extended its experience products to give guests with new and different ways to connect with the brand, including the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience, At Home Collection, and the newly announced Four Seasons Yachts. In addition, a variety of approximately 600 restaurants and bars and 126 spas enriches the Four Seasons experience, attracting an increasing number of return local customers. The restaurants and bars at Four Seasons are based on world-class, unique ideas that are brought to life by artisans who share a passion for providing extraordinary service and delectable cuisine.
The Four Seasons Private Jet Enjoy allows visitors to experience the renowned service of the brand in the air. Late last year, a brand-new plane – developed with input from previous guests – ascended to the skies, transporting passengers on customised global adventures. The programme continues to expand, with 2023 itineraries virtually sold out and a complete calendar of 2024 travels just revealed.
Four Seasons announced the launch of Four Seasons Yachts in September 2022. The 679-foot (207 metre) yacht will provide an unparalleled degree of personalised care, with a 1:1 guest to worker ratio and large, residential-style suite rooms, among other on-board facilities. The first vessel is expected to set sail in 2025.
Following the success of the first Beyond by Four Seasons driving excursion in Tuscany in 2022, additional and intriguing itineraries will be released later this year, allowing travellers to experience remarkable places behind the wheel of a classic or contemporary luxury sportscar.
Across all touchpoints, on land, in the air, and eventually on the water, guests will experience the real, individualised service and care that Four Seasons has been recognised for for more than 60 years.
