This holiday season, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, in collaboration with the world-class sports management organisation RTC (Royal, Timeless & Challenging) Sport, will unveil its new Tennis Academy: an exceptional coaching institution whose faculty includes four-time Grand Slam Champion and former World No. 1 Ekaterina Makarova.

Pedigree of a Champion

Former World No. 1 and four-time Grand Slam champion Ekaterina Makarova will guest-host the Tennis Academy's 2023 holiday season from December 19-26, 2023, and deliver her award-winning interpretation of the game.

Makarova dominated the international tennis doubles circuit for many years, winning the 2013 French Open, 2014 US Open, and 2017 Wimbledon Championships with Elena Vesnina, in addition to the 2012 US Open with Bruno Soares. She, in conjunction with Vesnina, achieved Olympic gold in 2016.

Officially ranked number one in the World Doubles rankings on June 11, 2018, Ekaterina has amassed fifteen titles across the WTA Tour. She also excelled at the eighth spot in the World Tennis Rankings, where she won three WTA titles, and was a pillar of the Russian team that won the 2008 Fed Cup.

The Tennis Academy is situated in the renowned tranquilly of Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, a three-time-in-a-row Forbes Five-Star-rated oceanfront village that is awe-inspiring. A traditional Maldivian dhoni will transport guests across pristine waters to the resort's picturesque court, which is subtly obscured by verdant vegetation.

Sessions catering to various demographics, including individuals, couples, groups, adults, juveniles, novices, and seasoned players, will be held in the radiant sunshine of the Maldives. Over the course of the year, Dmitrii Studitskii, the Director of Tennis at Four Seasons Resort Kuda Huraa, will provide supervision of the Tennis Academy.Dmitrii Studitskii is an accomplished private coach and seasoned professional tennis player, which makes him a formidable duo.

Proficient in English, Russian, and Spanish, he possesses considerable expertise in the psychological aspects of winning as well as the technical aspects of the game. His aptitude for designing individualised training regimens for every player, ranging from novice to seasoned, guarantees that every participant achieves triumphs on the court and develops a deeper affection for the sport.
