Audemars Piguet has grabbed our attention with the massive news that they now have a new head honcho who is all set to officially to take over all the reins next week. Ginny Wright a luxury good retail veteran, who was a former Loreal executive has been now appointed as the brands new leading CEO of North America. It’s been said that along with handling all the business in Canada as well as in the US she will now also be responsible and she will now be leading for the Latin American market that seems like one hell of a responsibility. Though despite of being the head she is expected to report directly to the chief commercial officer, Yves Meylan, and the global chief executive officer Francois Henry Bennahmias. The company’s headquarter is situated in Switzerland and both Yves and Francois are situated based in Switzerland whereas Ginny is expected to stay in New York city and carry her heap loads of work from there itself. For a long time now Audemars Piguet has the reputation of being one of the oldest fine watchmaking manufactures in North America still intact in the hands of the founding families ( Audemars and Piguet). The company has been based in Le Brassus since 1875. She is known to be from the natives of Greensboro of North Carolina and have received her BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and she later went on and did her MBA in International Luxury Brand Management from one of the top and most renowned ESSEC business school in Paris Ginny Wright recently in a press interview said how thrilled and overwhelming she felt and adding further in her interview she said “ I am thriller to assume this role and join Audemars Piguet a company that I have so long admired for its extraordinary work” she also went ahead and said “ I have deep appreciation for its independent spirit as well as its commitment to watchmaking excellence and innovation . Building upon a strong vision and proven growth strategy, the brand’s potential in America is beyond exceptional.” Before Ginny Wright was appointed as the CEO of North America Patrick Ottomani was the CEO but Patrick departed in December which was just a year later he joined the company. Although Audemars Piguet refused to offer any comment regarding this situation of his departure it was sure a great deal of loss for them since he had previously been the worldwide co-clientele director at Berluti from April 2018 to March 2019. But now the company has geared up again to attain new heights and break their own records in the North American market with their new CEO Ginny. Ginny Wright was also recently in the news for withholding the position of the President of Kiehl’s under the Loreal umbrella since May 2019 where she looked after the progress and was responsible for continuing the brand’s growth and driving it’s digital data and retail programs. But even before she was the President at Loreal she was the global deputy general manager at Ralph Lauren Fragrances at Loreal where she was known to have withheld the position from January 2017 to May 2019. Well it’s no secret now that Ginny has come a long road since then.
