A total of six Greek luxury resorts and hotels made it to the ‘Top 30 Resorts in Europe: Reader’s Choice Awards’ that had been recently organized by Conde Nast Travel Magazine, also known to be the bible of International travel.
The highest ranking was bagged by The Romanos, which is a collection resort located in Messinia that took the 8th place, closely followed by its sister hotel The Westin Resort Costa Navarino that was at 12th place.
Ranked at 23 was the stunning Marbella Corfu by the Dracopoulos Group accompanied by Sani Resorts at Halkidiki, north Greece and Crete’s Blue Palace, a luxury resort and spa by Sbokos and Vassilaki’s group at ranks 28 and 29 respectively.
The infamous Santa Marina by Christiana Papageorgio at Mykonos was the last official Greek entry to win rank 30 of the list.
While Greek luxury hotels undoubtedly topped this list, it was in close competition with France and Italy which had 5 entries each, four resorts in Ireland, three from Cyprus and Portugal followed by Spain which had one entry on the list.
Apart from reigning over the Top resorts in Europe, Greece also stood out in another category which was ‘Top 10 Hotels in Europe: Reader’s Choice Awards’. Hotel Archipelago in Mykonos was ranked at four along with Istoria in Santorini and Katikies Sun Rocks at 5th and 7th place respectively.
According to another reader’s choice list that featured 20 best hotels in Greece and Turkey, the list had 16 luxury hotels in Greece-where Santorini alone accounted for 11 and a total of four hotels from Turkey.
It is safe to say that Greek Hotels and Resorts offer some of the best hospitality services and are clearly the most loved by travelers across the globe.
