About Jabal Omar Development Company
Jabal Omar Development Company is considered to be one of the biggest real estate developers in Saudi Arabia and one of the top most listed companies in the Saudi Tadawul Stock Exchange.
A new understanding between Indonesia based luxury hospitality company - Archipelago International and Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) - will bring Royal Alana and Alana brands (belonging to Archipelago) to Saudi Arabia’s holy city.
The addition of two world class five star properties in the luxurious Jabal Omar project; the 581-key Jabal Omar The Royal Alana Makkah and 560-key Jabal Omar The Alana Makkah. Both these premium luxury hotels will be hardly any distance from the Holy Mosque in Makkah.
An exciting partnership
As per Gerard Byrne, managing director of Archipelago Overseas, they are indeed very blessed to be in a partnership with JODC, a company that appreciates the value and significance of premium hospitality experiences tailor made for travellers and guests from South-east Asian countries, specifically from Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.
A key market - South East Asia
For Saudi Arabia, most of the South-east Asian countries and especially the ones listed above are key markets. These have been increasing steadily and strongly for the Saudi Kingdom and its Vision 2030 programme. The market position that Archipelago International enjoys along with its brand equity and current infrastructure in these markets adds a lot of value for this partnership. This will surely bring in a lot of value for their partners throughout the Kingdom, the region and also the holy cities.
As per Khaled Al-Amoudi, who is Jabal Omar Development Company's CEO has also confirmed the company’s dedication to uphold the ambitious vision of Saudi Arabia 2030 in terms of reinforcing the hospitality sector and strenghtening the spiritual experience of pilgrims, by spreading their partnerships with some of the best international hotel brands at the Jabal Omar destination.
As per Al-Amoudi this new strategic partnership between JODC and Archipelago International will enable visitors to perform their holy rituals and come back home with the most pleasing and special spiritual memories of their life time.
Saudi Arabia Vision 2030
Apparently there would be around 160 hotels with 73,325 rooms in Saudi Arabia very soon. This particular increase in the number of hotels in Saudi Arabia is in line with the country’s Vision 2030. As a matter of fact among Saudi Arabia’s 160 new hotels, 90 will be in the four-star category and 70 will be five star hotels in Saudi Arabia.
