According to Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole, Businesses of Tomorrow has discovered and mentored over 140 firms since its start 15 years ago and has been a crucial component of their objective to build the British luxury sector.
The development project is critical in assisting the next generation of creative entrepreneurs in securing the future of the British luxury industry, and will contribute to the UK's revitalization after Brexit and the collapse of Covid.
Walpole identifies the 2022 Brands of the Future
For 2022, a focus on sustainability and circularity is emphasised, with fashion participants including pre-owned fashion subscription service Circle of Style, handbag resale platform Luxury Promise, and childrenswear manufacturer Petit Pli, which offers garments that grow with children and are designed to significantly reduce waste and CO2 emissions.
Savin, a custom wedding and eveningwear company; Yolke, a fashion and homeware business; With Nothing Underneath, a women's shirting expert; and Marion Ayonote, a footwear and handbag designer.
Additionally, the project includes two beauty brands: the doctor-led Decree skincare line and Liha Beauty, which harnesses the power of raw materials used for generations in the West African Yoruba heritage to make natural cosmetics.
The line-up is completed by reusable bottle business Ocean Bottle, aromatic candles by Lauren Dickinson Clarke, and ceramic homeware firm Feldspar.
Brocklebank also expressed her delight at the diverse range of British entrepreneurs entering the market each year and at the emergence of a new generation of premium British enterprises that innovate, grow, and exhibit the sector's nimbleness in responding to consumer expectations.
