Italian Actress Caterina Murino and Chef Adrien Bozzolo Have Designed an Extraordinary Easter Egg For The Mandarin Oriental, Paris

There are easter eggs and then there is this incredibly designed chocolate Easter egg that just sets the tone for the holiday season!!

To commemorate Easter, Caterina Murino, the renowned actress and jewellery designer, partnered with Pastry Chef Adrien Bozzolo of Mandarin Oriental, Paris to create a magnificent chocolate Easter egg with an egg-shaped filigree pendant within. 

The magnificent masterpiece is an egg-shaped silver filigree pendant whose design was inspired by the work of ancient Sardinian craftsmen. Caterina also created a limited version of the pendant, which is fashioned in pink gold and set with a sapphire.

Chef Adrien took inspiration for an egg-shaped sculpture in pure Madagascar chocolate from the elegant design of the diamond. 

Behind this is a chocolate egg perched on a pillow of crispy hazelnut and fleur de sel praline. The necklace is concealed inside the egg, which is stuffed to the brim with miniature chocolate sweets infused with Sardinian myrtle liqueur.

Chef Adrien drew inspiration for the edible portion of the sculpture from the meticulous design of the diamond, creating a delicate egg-shaped sculpture in pure Madagascar chocolate. The creation is crowned with a crispy hazelnut and fleur de sel praline cushion that conceals the exquisite pendant.

Finally, the creation's foundation is packed with little chocolate sweets infused with Sardinian myrtle liqueur. 

Additionally, all proceeds from the Easter creation will benefit Amref Health Africa, Africa's premier health non-governmental organisation (NGO), of which Caterina is the godmother since 2006. Additionally, she serves as their spokesman for the worldwide initiative "Stand Up for African Mothers," which seeks to educate 15,000 African midwives to combat maternal death. Mandarin Oriental, Paris is proud to support Caterina's dedication to this worthwhile cause by contributing 100% of the proceeds from the Easter egg sale to Amref.
