Italian Luxury House Gucci Launches Gucci Giardino 25 at Central Piazza Della Signoria, Florence

This Valentine's Day, treat yourself to something extraordinary: Gucci will launch Gucci Giardino 25 in Florence's Piazza della Signoria on February 14, 2022. The House's new all-day café and cocktail bar is the newest addition to Gucci Garden, Alessandro Michele's diverse collaboration and creative environment.

Play of contrasts

The venue is characterised by a sense of astonishment and harmonic contrasts, playing with the traditions of the House and its Florentine environs while pulling influence from the colours, fragrances, and exuberance of a flower store.

Intimate & Aesthetic

The café is an intimate yet strangely familiar den-like place that bridges the divide between a typical Tuscan store and a polished French bistro. The exposed wooden beams on the ceiling provide warmth to the space, while the handmade boiserie pays homage to late-eighteenth-century aesthetics. Carved capitals atop columns and mustard yellow panels define the space, framing the embossed mirrored tiles behind the bar or the private sitting sections, which seat up to sixteen guests in leather-upholstered peacock blue couches and chairs.

Giardino 25

The dual character of Giardino 25 as a daytime café and a vibrant after-hours cocktail bar is mirrored in its all-day menu, which is cooked by an on-site kitchen that celebrates seasonality while taking inspiration from the Tuscan countryside. Breakfast will feature traditional local pastries with inventions from Japan and Mexico, creating a modern and cosmopolitan menu, while lunch and supper will feature light fare. Afternoon Tea completes the menu, with a specific nod to coffee culture through a carefully curated selection of speciality blends.

Colourful Cocktails

Martina Bonci, a native of Umbria, is at the helm, bringing a distinct menu of balanced, colourful cocktails, including the 'Mémoire di Negroni' — a nod to the more than century-old Italian Negroni, which is thought to have originated in Florence. Ms. Bonci applies the same degree of commitment to her non-alcoholic cocktail creations, guided by her ambition to give a consistently innovative experience across the whole beverages menu, as seen by the '1921,' a nod to Gucci's foundation year and marked by earthy tastes. Food will be offered throughout the day, beginning with breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and continuing with supper and light snacks until 1:00 a.m.

Reservations are strongly recommended but once you are in you have the option of letting yourself go within and wandering aimlessly, or soaking in the surroundings with utmost alertness.
