Mumbai Sphere Travel Media & Exhibitions, India's premier travel-media company, is pleased to herald the India International Travel Mart's (IITM) return to the city of Mumbai. The event is being held at the esteemed Nehru Centre in Worli from October 12 to October 14, 2023.

The Event was inaugurated by Smt. Kamala Bai - Karnataka Tourism, Mr. Rajesh Poddar - TAAI, Mr. Burjis Mehta - SKAL International, Mr. Tariq Hussain Naik - Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, Mr. Dharmendra Singh - ADTOI, Mr. Laxmi Vaigankar - Goa Tourism, and other luminaries of the tourism industry.  

Following successful iterations in Bengaluru, Chennai, and New Delhi earlier in 2023, IITM has attracted significant attention from the travel industry. With more than 150 exhibitors representing various travel-trade organisations and tourism bodies, IITM offers a remarkable experience, commemorating 23 years of connecting the travel industry with discerning consumers.

IITM is well-known for its diverse selection of activities, including pilgrimages, cultural heritage, pristine coastlines, fauna, and attractive hill villages. With participants from twenty Indian states and over ten countries abroad, this event highlights the potential of travel and tourism.

The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department is a significant focus for IITM. J&K Tourism intends to promote its offerings as the winter season approaches. This year, J&K Tourism has already hosted 1.33 crore visitors in just seven months, compared to 1.88 crore in 2022.

Recognising the government's support, travel industry associations in Maharashtra are actively promoting MICE, GOLF, and FILM TOURISM in Jammu and Kashmir. This event is anticipated to stimulate regional tourism, economic growth, and employment.IITM extends its significance by playing a crucial role in marketing various destinations, casting light on archaeology, culture, heritage, wellness, and adventure.

IITM provides an opportune stimulus to the travel industry as the winter holidays approach. It remains India's busiest travel marketplace, offering networking opportunities for professionals in the travel and hospitality industries.

IITM is committed to promoting responsible tourism and well-being, in line with the worldwide movement towards sustainability. The exhibition focuses on eco-friendly initiatives, community-based tourism initiatives, and conservation efforts geared at preserving India's natural and cultural heritage.
