Jonas Vittur Named Bar Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru's Copitas

Jonas Vittur has been named bar manager at Copitas, a chic hideaway in the Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru that was ranked #38 in Asia's 50 Best Bars this year. As the premier spot for cocktails in Bengaluru, Copitas, located on the 21st level of the five-star Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, provides stunning views of the city at night and is known for its exquisite cocktails.
With its laid-back vibe and panoramic views of the cityscape offered by its floor-to-ceiling windows, Copitas is the ideal place to unwind with a sundowner in hand.
With Jonas Vittur's arrival at Copitas and his plethora of worldwide experiences, the hotel continues its tradition of offering guests creative and individualised experiences, including in the beverage programme. This promises a new and exciting chapter for all patrons.
His background as a barman is varied and impressive.
He first connected with India at Dishoom Kings Cross in London, an idea influenced by Bombay's Irani Cafés. Bartending combines the flexibility of both the front-of-house and back-of-house dynamics, which is one of the many reasons I selected it as a job. Another is that it allows me to pursue my love. According to Jonas,
"I saw the opportunity to move to India as my calling."
He was seeking a fresh and challenging experience after the epidemic. While working as Bar Director and Mixology Consultant at Whisky Samba in Gurugram, which was ranked 24th in the 30 Best Bars India list for 2023, he continued his bartending journey in India.
Jonas was already a member of the exclusive clubbing elite before his trip to India; he had previously performed at High Five in Tokyo and the Nature Spa Resort Quelle in Italy. In 2015, Jonas accomplished the incredible distinction of being ranked 19th in the World's 50 Best Bars while serving as a Senior Barman at Le Lion - Bar de Paris in Hamburg. His distinctive approach was really outstanding.
The one night Jonas spent in Bengaluru was for a business conference, but it was enough to prepare him for his thrilling adventure with Copitas and this vibrant city.

Jonas, who is originally from a little village in the beautiful German-speaking region of South Tyrol in the Italian Alps, is the perfect combination of local charisma and international bartender experience at the city's glitzy cocktail spot. Jonas likes the high-octane sport of ice hockey, riding his motorcycle and going on hikes when he's not mixing drinks at the bar.
