Kareena Kapoor Khan Inaugurated The 36th IMC Ladies Wing Exhibition of Women Entrepreneurs

The Ladies' Wing of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry has inaugurated the 36th edition of the most anticipated event in Mumbai, the Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition.

Through its innovative initiatives, the Wing has promoted women's empowerment, entrepreneurship, and economic development for over fifty years. This well-attended event was a magnificent display of exceptional creativity, talent, and innovation, bringing together women business owners without a retail presence. Kareena Kapoor Khan, herself an icon of women's empowerment and accomplishment, accompanied IMC Ladies' Wing President Amrita Somaiya, Exhibition Committee Chair Ishita Jain, and Exhibition Committee Co-Chair Nisha Shah.

Also present were the Wing's illustrious past presidents and members, honouring the 276 women entrepreneurs and the exhibition's extraordinary selection of scrupulously curated offerings encompassing fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, accessories, and more. Students from Nareshwadi Learning Centre, Dahanu delivered a stirring rendition of the national anthem, which added gravitas to the ceremony. Rashmi Thakre, Amrita Raichand, Sonam Babani, and Deepika Gehika were among the illustrious members of Mumbai's high society spotted savouring the retail extravaganza.

Mrs. Somaiya's theme for the year – "We Rise by Lifting Others" resonated with the significance of women advancing collectively, embracing their shared cultural heritage, and driving mutual development and empowerment, which was reflected in the exhibition's design. It served as a tribute to women's inherent fortitude and resiliency, evidence of our collective ascension, and a reminder of the crucial role of support and encouragement in achieving greater heights."Our 276 participants exemplify the notion that the future is within our control.

I am reminded of the shloka 'Naari samanjasya kushala vastukara', which states that a woman is a competent architect of society. This celebration reflects the fortitude of women who have made their aspirations a reality and continue to inspire others, as stated by Ms. Amrita Somaiya, IMC Ladies' Wing President.
