Lamborghini Unleashes The Temerario - Engineering Brilliance Meets Hybrid Hypercar Performance

Seoul, Korea – March 7, 2025

Lamborghini's revolutionary 920 CV HPEV debuts in key Asian market, completing the brand's strongest lineup in history

More than 500 distinguished guests and media representatives witnessed automotive history as Lamborghini unveiled the breathtaking Temerario in South Korea, marking a pivotal moment in the brand's electrification journey. The second High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) in Lamborghini's portfolio showcases unprecedented technical innovation while maintaining the unmistakable DNA that defines the legendary Italian marque.

The prestigious launch event was attended by Stephan Winkelmann, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO, Federico Foschini, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, and Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director for Asia Pacific, underscoring the strategic importance of the Korean market as one of Lamborghini's top ten global markets and third largest in Asia Pacific.

REVOLUTIONARY HYBRID POWERTRAIN REDEFINES PERFORMANCE BOUNDARIES

The Temerario's groundbreaking drivetrain represents a technological masterpiece developed entirely in-house at Sant'Agata Bolognese. At its core lies a completely new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an astonishing 200 CV per liter, working in perfect harmony with three electric motors – one integrated directly into the engine housing and two on the front axle.

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS:

Total system output: 920 CV / 676 kW - V8 biturbo output: 800 CV (9,000-9,750 rpm) - V8 torque: 730 Nm (4,000-7,000 rpm) - Maximum speed: 343 km/h (210+ mph) - 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph): 2.7 seconds - First production super sports car to achieve 10,000 rpm

"The Temerario is a super sports car in a class of its own, delivering unparalleled driving pleasure through the perfect combination of cutting-edge performance and refined comfort," said Stephan Winkelmann. "With this debut, we complete a product lineup that is the strongest in our brand's history."

MOTORSPORT-INSPIRED ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

The Temerario's V8 biturbo engine (internal designation L411) represents a triumph of advanced engineering. Its flat-plane crankshaft with 180-degree angles between bends – typically found only in racing engines – ensures optimal fluid dynamics and produces a distinctive, engaging sound signature.

The engine incorporates numerous motorsport technologies, including: - Titanium connecting rods to reduce rotating mass - DLC-coated finger followers capable of withstanding 11,000 rpm - A357+Cu engine casting material used in motorsport applications - Advanced dry sump lubrication with five-stage gear scavenge pumps - 3D-printed water cooling system for uniform combustion chamber temperature - Direct fuel injection operating at up to 350 bar pressure

PIONEERING ELECTRIFICATION STRATEGY

The Temerarios hybrid architecture

exemplifies Lamborghini's innovative approach to electrification. The P1 electric motor positioned between the V8 engine and gearbox functions as a "torque gap filler," ensuring instantaneous response from low revs and maintaining constant power delivery during gear shifts. Meanwhile, two additional electric motors on the front axle enable advanced torque vectoring capabilities.

"By combining a high-revving V8 biturbo with three electric motors of axial flux type, we are taking a very sophisticated approach that has never been seen before in series production," explains Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer. "With this adrenaline machine, we are catapulting ourselves into a new paradigm for super sports cars."

SHOWCASING LAMBORGHINI'S ELECTRIFIED FUTURE

The Temerario made its Korean debut in striking Verde Mercurius finish in its lightweight Alleggerita configuration. It was displayed alongside Lamborghini's growing electrified lineup, including the V12 HPEV Revuelto and the plug-in hybrid Super SUV Urus SE. Attendees also experienced the brand's extensive personalization options through the Ad Personam program, featuring over 400 exterior colors and countless interior combinations.

"The Temerario showcases cutting-edge technology and performance, pioneering innovations that transcend conventional standards. Lamborghini has succeeded in developing a new V8 biturbo that combines the pronounced linearity of the rev development in the previous naturally aspirated V10, with the enormous power and torque of a modern turbo engine. We are confident that the Temerario will resonate strongly with our Korean customers."
