Leela Palaces, Hotels And Resorts Foray Into North East India, Sign A 140-Room Hotel in Sikkim

The signing of a management agreement for a 140-room hotel in Ranka, Sikkim, by The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, one of the foremost luxury hotel chains in India, today, signifies the brand's entry into Northeast India.

The SIBIN Group owns the Leela Sikkim development, which is situated on a 17-acre site overlooking Gangtok Hill, approximately 10 kilometres from the capital city.

With its esteemed signature services, considerate programming, and inspiring design, The Leela Sikkim is positioned to revolutionise the hospitality industry in the Himalayas. It is anticipated to reopen in December 2026.

In response to the announcement, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts' Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Anuraag Bhatnagar, stated,

Moreover, this endeavour will enable us to unveil the concealed Himalayan marvel to an international audience."

With its meticulously curated services and assortment of leisure and wellness facilities, The Leela Sikkim will provide its visitors with a serene and opulent stay. A hotel wing will house 88 luxury rooms and 35 independent luxury villas, of which 20 will be wellness villas, 13 will be duplex villas, and 6 will be a double-story villa with six rooms. In addition, a leisure bar, an all-day dining establishment, a specialty restaurant, and a wellness restaurant will be provided as culinary options. In addition to an abundance of interior and outdoor activities, guests will have access to a casino and a state-of-the-art wellness centre.
