In some encouraging news for the luxury hotel industry, Les Hôtels d’en Haut, a major and well respected player in the luxury hotels sector in France has announced the purchase of three hotels recently.
Les Hôtels d’en Haut has a very strong reputation in the premier leisure hospitality segment in France and this move of acquiring three luxury hotels in France’s Provence region—Domaine de Capelongue, Le Moulin de Lourmarin and Le Galinier de Lourmarin—through chef Édouard Loubet will have a lot of positive repercussions for the entire industry. This latest set of purchases bloats the already impressive basket of Les Hôtels d’en Haut’s to a total of 8 luxury hotels, with 300 plus well-appointed rooms and 11 amazing restaurants.
The three hotels are all located in Luberon, France. Their basic details are as mentioned below:
Domaine de Capelongue has 30 guestrooms, features luxury amenities and boasts a panoramic view of the village of Bonnieux.
Le Moulin de Lourmarin has 19 guestrooms, a restaurant and faces the 12th-century Chateau de Lourmarin.
Le Galinier is an 18th-century Provençal country house with 15 guestrooms located in a secluded oasis on the edge of Lourmarin village.
“This acquisition marks the beginning of our strategy to acquire high quality hotels across premier seasonal leisure destinations across Europe.” said Alexander Rae, head of M&A at Les Hôtels d’en Haut.
In addition to the three recently acquired hotels in Luberon, Les Hôtels d’en Haut operates five hotels in France: Hôtel Le Val Thorens, Hôtel Le Fitzroy in Val Thorens, and Hôtel des 3 Vallées in Courchevel 1850 in the French Alps; Hôtel L’Alpaga in Megève; and Hôtel Les Roches Rouges, in Saint-Raphaël on the Côte d'Azur.
