Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group recently announced that it would operate a new resort with branded apartments in Phu Yen province, one of the most beautiful coastal districts in Vietnam. The project will be the Group's third property in Vietnam when it opens in 2026. Indochina Kajima, a joint venture between Indochina Capital in Vietnam and Kajima Development Pte in Singapore, is developing the resort (a subsidiary of Kajima Corporation in Japan).
Mandarin Oriental, Bai Nom will be situated on a vast 800-meter beach, surrounded by elevated plateaus with breathtaking views of the coastline and the ocean. The resort's privileged location and distinctive architecture will offer the ideal setting for a broad range of personalised experiences, including health retreats, cultural discovery, and family-oriented activities.
The building and design will combine several native Vietnamese features and allusions to local culture. On the 29-hectare property, 72 apartments and villas, including 25 Residences at Mandarin Oriental, will be constructed. The accommodations will be situated right on the beach and throughout the hills, with private patios and swimming pools. On vast plots with private gardens, pools, and terraces, the branded villas will provide three to five bedrooms. The Owner and Mandarin Oriental are collaborating to guarantee that the resort is created and designed responsibly.
Three restaurants and bars will provide a range of cuisines, all with views of the surrounding landscape. A Mandarin Oriental Spa will be located on the cliff top of the resort, offering 360-degree views. It will include the Group's hallmark wellness therapies and treatments in addition to a range of personalised or group activities, including yoga, meditation, fitness training, and nutritional counselling. The visitor experience will include indoor and outdoor hot and wet sensations, a 30-meter lap pool, and a sunset pavilion for nutritious snacks.
The resort will provide a variety of activities, such as water sports, outdoor adventure, and trips to exclusive coves, diving spots, and hiking areas. A Children's Club with its own swimming pool will be supplemented with an activity centre with outdoor adventure areas. In addition, traditional and Padel tennis courts will be available."We are thrilled to bring Mandarin Oriental's iconic service to what promises to be a world-class resort, and we are thrilled to collaborate with partners that share our commitment to responsible tourism," said James Riley, Group Chief Executive Officer of Mandarin Oriental. This project will complement our two hotels already under construction in Saigon and Da Nang. This would allow our followers to discover three unique and intriguing facets of Vietnam, he said.
Peter Ryder, CEO of Indochina Capital, said, "We look forward to collaborating with Mandarin Oriental to create a one-of-a-kind hotel in a breathtakingly immaculate environment with an unrivalled offering of great experiences. It is a pleasure to collaborate with one of the most prominent companies in luxury hospitality and we look forward to delivering our visitors an outstanding leisure location where they can enjoy the beauty of Vietnam and relax with the renowned service of Mandarin Oriental."
