Italian luxury legend Maserati is ecstatic to announce an unprecedented cooperation with Mattel, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: MAT) Barbie®, inspired by a shared ambition to push limits and highlight each brand's own personality. Maserati and Barbie, both instantly recognisable for their remarkable personality and unique style, collaborated to create a masterpiece of timeless design and daring character, inspired by the Barbiecore phenomenon.
The House of the Trident announces a special version of their most recent SUV, Grecale, built in collaboration with international icon Barbie.
The result of this unorthodox partnership is an ultra-limited edition Maserati Grecale, the Italian House's newest SUV, created to elevate daily driving experiences. Barbie chose this vehicle to complement her multifaceted lifestyle, which ranges from business meetings to glamorous events.
As an ultra-limited Fuoriserie edition, the Barbie Maserati Grecale will only be available in two unique versions worldwide; one was revealed last night as one of the 2022 Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts at the luxury retailer's holiday launch party in Los Angeles. For this U.S.-exclusive, customised edition, a portion of the sales price will be donated to the Barbie Dream Gap Project*, the Barbie brand's continuing worldwide endeavour in partnership with charitable organisations to create equal opportunities and eliminate obstacles for girls. In 2023, further information on the second custom unit will be released.
Barbie's Maserati Grecale is a piece of art created through the Trident's Fuoriserie customization programme, which enables automobile enthusiasts to express their passion and creativity in the development of their perfect Italian luxury vehicle, based on their own style and taste.
This aggressive Fuoriserie Maserati Grecale is a Trofeo model with a 530-hp V6 Nettuno engine that pulses with sheer excitement. Inspired by the racing legacy of the Trident, an expression of Barbie's signature pink colour covers practically every inch of the fanciful vehicle, which also has delicate acid-yellow lines.
The bodywork of the SUV, which is emblazoned with the Barbie insignia, is coated with an iridescent lacquer that produces a stunning rainbow appearance on a bright day. Its sleek black inside boasts leather seats, consoles, carpets, and doors with pink stitching, as well as customised headrests with a "B" logo.
Through March 31, 2023, Mattel will give 10% of the sales price of the Barbie x Maserati Grecale Trofeo SUV to the Barbie Dream Gap Project page on GoFundMe.com. None of the sale's proceeds are tax-deductible. Available for purchase by citizens of the lower 48 states.
