Master The Road & The Snow With The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato

The Huracán Sterrato is as skilled on the snow as it is on the road

20 February 2023 - Sant’Agata Bolognese/Livigno, Italy

The Huracán Sterrato landed to an elite ski resort in the Italian Alps, demonstrating its snow and ice skills. The permanent four-wheel drive Huracán Sterrato mastered the low-traction surfaces of the winter location with a flourish after switching from road-driving settings to its specialised 'rally' mode.

The revised LDVI system (Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics) of the Huracán Sterrato provides specifically calibrated STRADA and SPORT drive settings for road, with the new RALLY mode optimised for dirt and loose surfaces including snow: another aspect of the super sports car's enjoyable-to-drive nature. Its wider tracks and higher ride height made short work of the icy environment, while the Sterrato's Bridgestone Dueler AT002 run-flat tyres, specially-adapted for the all-terrain Huracán and rated at a peak speed of 260 kilometres per hour, ensured maximum performance in the wintry circumstances.

The aluminium front underbody, stronger sills and rear diffuser, and enlarged wheel arches shielded the Sterrato from ice impediments and accentuated its muscularity in the demanding winter sports environment.

This automobile drew the attention of skiers and tourists with its icy-white Bianco Phanes exterior, Grigio Telesto accents, and black carbon fibre, including its wheel arches with added reinforcement. Under the Lamborghini Ad Personam customising programme, future Huracán Sterrato owners may also build their own distinctive sports style by selecting from 350 exterior colours and over 60 inside leather and Alcantara combinations.

The Huracán Sterrato's 5.2-liter V10 engine produces a maximum output of 610 horsepower and 560 Newton-meters of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and electronically controlled all-wheel drive with a mechanically locking rear differential. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour (62 miles per hour) in 3.4 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 260 kilometres per hour (160 mph).

This month marks the beginning of production for 1,499 Huracán Sterrato super sports cars, with deliveries started in early summer.

The car has not yet been offered for sale, hence it is exempt from Directive 1999/94/EC. The fuel economy and emissions information is undergoing type certification.
