MLTR quotations from the press conference:
Jascha Richter: Lead singer and keyboards MLTR
Kåre Wanscher: Drummer, MLTR
Mikkel Lentz.: Lead Guitarist, MLTR
Kåre:
I believe the key is that the music is so pertinent, as you said. This is the solution, since we would not be here if music did not matter to people. The songs that we've selected for this tour include songs that we believe people may be familiar with, as well as a couple that we believe people should be familiar with. Therefore, the focus will be on music and bonding with our fans.
Mikkel:
Sincerity be told, I do not believe we are particularly excellent at keeping up with musical trends, but we do our best. However, I believe that we gave up attempting to follow the latest fashions twenty-five years ago. Therefore, we mostly perform songs that Jascha has written as honestly as possible. We do not rely on new technology; instead, we will just play them...like legendary pop tunes.
Kare:
I mean, we don't know why this is possible or what we do to make it such that we can produce music that lasts that long. This remains a mystery to us. It is difficult to be very intelligent about it, as if there were a formula for doing so. It is more a matter of embracing it as a mystery, coincidence, miracle, or anything else.
I believe we were extremely fortunate in this regard, particularly in the beginning. We obtained a management barely three months after forming the band, and we signed a record contract six months later. And then another song was a huge smash, so you know, everything happened so quickly. That was a pretty fortunate beginning to our careers. However, prior to that, we suffered for many years. When we were creating our debut album, the record label nearly fired us, so we've gone through a lot of terrible times. But once our careers began, they took off quickly. Today's world is extremely different from the past. Today, due to digital technology, it is no longer necessary to submit demo cassettes to record companies, but if I could provide one piece of advice, it would be to produce excellent music and be really fortunate.
Mikkel:
When we began we had two years of struggling… And we did a number of concerts for two or three people...because we were unknown, nobody attended our shows. But we continued to play. Therefore, I believe it requires a great deal of effort. And, similar to being a skilled carpenter, it takes time to become proficient at what you do. Today, with the internet, it is quite simple to create something that sounds nice on a computer, but maybe you don't have 10 or 20 songs in you. Therefore, I believe it has grown simpler, but my recommendation is to select something you like and devote a great deal of time to mastering it.
Kare:
I believe that the purpose of our presentations is to connect and reconnect with the audience. This Magic is incredible. It is a really unique occasion for us to visit India, since it is the only site in Asia where the audience is standing. Elsewhere, our audiences are seated. And it is just remarkable. Even though we have many love songs, slow songs, and ballads, they nonetheless generate the same mood as a true rock song. Consequently, this is one aspect of performing in India that I like. It is only available in India, and it is beautiful.
Jascha:
Currently, when we play live, there are three generations in attendance, which is quite remarkable.
Mikkel:
We are looking forward to enjoying the holiday season with our families and then preparing for another year of travelling. Jascha has been composing new music, and we expect to return to the recording studio shortly.
