Miha Plesnik Joins Vakkaru Maldives as the New Resident Tennis Coach

Baa Atoll, Republic of Maldives Vakkaru Maldives is pleased to announce the hiring of Miha Plesnik, an accomplished Slovenian tennis player and coach, as their new resident coach.

Tipsarevic Luxury Tennis has appointed the 31-year-old certified tennis instructor to the timeless sanctuary until 28 February 2024.

Tipsarevic Luxury Tennis has partnered with Vakkaru Maldives since 2020, bringing resident coaches with a valuable combination of international expertise and a personalised approach to coaching. Tipsarevic Luxury Tennis is committed to elevating tennis coaching at the world's most luxurious resorts.

As a doubles silver medalist at the 2007 European Youth Olympic Festival and a member of the Slovenian National Team in the European Championships, Plesnik had a successful career. After an illustrious playing career, Plesnik shifted his focus to coaching and has since worked at numerous prestigious institutions, including a posh country club where he primarily taught private lessons. Plesnik studied Sport Management at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, and holds a licence as an Official National Tennis Coach in Slovenia.

At Vakkaru Maldives, Plesnik will be available for private singles and doubles coaching sessions, as well as 'Beat the Pro' sessions in which visitors can pit their abilities against a professional player. Plesnik, referring to his tenure at Vakkaru Maldives, stated,
