Sartoria Studio Store, New York City
New York, 7 February 2023
Sartoria Studio, a men's fashion retail concept store developed by longtime collaborators Jack Menashe and James Mansour, the visionaries behind New York City's iconic Limelight Marketplace, LOUNGE Soho, and countless other iconic New York City retail destinations, gives custom-tailored suits a modern twist. The contemporary haberdashery and style lab formally launched in Soho last night with a star-studded celebration attended by New York City fashion designers and industry luminaries. The new shop has already begun to make a difference by working with Fashion Group International, Inc. for the month of February, contributing to the FGI Foundation fund helping the non-profit organisation ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer.
From 6 to 9 p.m., well-heeled visitors were among the first to see the lounge-like space's handpicked sample clothing, luxury ready-to-wear and accessory items, and décor choices at 65-69 Houston Street. FGI President and CEO Maryanne Grisz, fashion designers Frederick Anderson, Loris Diran, Carlos Campos, and others, and Fern Mallis, Chris Lavish, Katya Tolstova, and Olga Ferrara were among the attendees. The singer Minda Larsen and the saxophone Miles Tucker performed live for the duration of the event. Surprisingly, Funny Auctioneer Bill McCuddy appeared and assumed the role of master of ceremonies to welcome Sartoria Studio Founder Jack Menashe and Mansour Design Principal James Mansour.

Long-recognized for his distinctive style, Menashe says of Sartoria Studio,
"Men frequently tell me they would want to learn how to dress better but have no idea where to begin. They want trustworthy counsel. In addition to our on-site tailor, we employ a team of expert stylists to assist our customers in taking their appearance to the next level."
Sartoria Studio was founded with the purpose of assisting men in developing and discovering their own fashion identities, as well as providing Italian tailored, made-to-measure apparel with a distinct urban stylish perspective. Guests have the option to connect with tailors and stylists from Sartoria Studio for style assistance and guidance via the store's quality fabrics and luxurious embellishments.
The cosy, laid-back club atmosphere provided the ideal setting for the occasion. Jack Menshe, the store's founder and CEO, has long appreciated the legacy Florentine workshops that inspired the interior design by James Mansour. Menashe said,
"Sartoria Studio delivers the experience of the finest Italian tailoring to Soho. We provide only custom-tailored garments with the finest materials, hand-applied finishes, and the most precise fit. The upscale business also reflects the founder's desire to bring much-needed character into premium custom-tailored clothes."
According to designer James Mansour, Principal of Mansour Design,
"The tiny club-style interior embodies the ephemeral spirit of sprezzatura—unmistakably Italian nonchalance-layered with the textures, colours, and aromas of New York City's thriving Soho neighbourhood."
Menashe also hired Mansour to create the brand logo for Sartoria Studio.
Whether a custom tuxedo, suit, sport jacket, or oxford shirt, each Sartoria Studio garment is designed to impress and built to last using only the finest materials from leading textile mills, such as Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Drapers by Vitale Barberis Canonico, Caccioppoli Napoli, Holland & Sherry, and others. Personalised-tailored clothing may be personalised with a variety of upscale trimmings and decorations, such as hand-stitched bone or mother-of-pearl buttons, custom monograms, and premium accessories, such as the house's hand-stitched cashmere and silk pocket squares.
The lounge gallery also includes a rotating exhibition of limited-edition collectibles, artworks, design items, and furniture curated by James Mansour. Each and every item in the shop, from the furnishings to the wall art, is for sale, guaranteeing that the lounge setting is always evolving.
The haberdashery, situated at 65-69 West Houston Street near the intersection of Wooster Street, is open seven days a week, by appointment or walk-in. Private appointment clients may anticipate a luxury experience, with the opportunity to partake in catered food and drinks prepared by the Studio's private chef. The seamless experience is also accessible after hours with off-site fits, sample delivery, and on-call style help from the company's styling concierges.
Customers may also be confident that February purchases will benefit a worthy cause. Jack Menashe will donate 10% of February sales to The Blue Jacket Fashion Show through the Fashion Group International (FGI) Foundation, supporting the non-profit organisation ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer. Sartoria Studio is delighted to support FGI's efforts to raise awareness and funds to help prostate cancer patients, enhance early diagnosis, and decrease mortality, with a particular focus on addressing racial inequities and assisting underprivileged populations. Frederick Anderson, co-founder of the Blue Jacket event and fashion designer, was clad with a custom-made blue jacket by Sartoria Studio for the recent Blue Jacket Fashion Show in New York City, and the jacket was also on show at the shop for the event.
