Only BLU, the newest restaurant in the Maldives, welcomes guests on an extraordinary gastronomic adventure under the sea. Recently introduced, Only BLU is one of the most popular stores in the destination. This deep-sea eating experience is a unique opportunity to connect with nature and loved ones, as it is surrounded by beautiful blue colours and a colourful flow of marine life.

From amazing deep-sea dining to food trucks selling delectable grilled meats on a beach illuminated by the stars, these two new COLOURS of OBLU resorts provide an abundance of culinary options.

A wooden jetty connects the two island resorts, OBLU SELECT Lobigili and OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, to the restaurant. As visitors descend 6.8 metres below sea level, they are greeted with canapés and sparkling champagne and pass through an open kitchen showing the chefs' expertise.

The colours, patterns, and textures were selected to compliment the breathtaking ocean views. A horseshoe-shaped layout guarantees that each table has its own window overlooking the coral reef. Only BLU is the biggest underwater restaurant in the Maldives, with 46 seats and 190 square metres of eating area.

While the mesmerising underwater atmosphere steals the spotlight, the Modern Gourmet Cuisine is as enticing. Individualized dining options include shellfish and fish, beef and poultry, and vegetarian dishes, accompanied by red and white wines and a variety of beers. On the menu are meticulously prepared meals such as,

Panko and sesame crusted tofu with enoki mushrooms,

scallions, and tossed greens Yellow Fin Tuna Poke from the Maldives paired with avocado from Peru, onion from Spain, mango, and edamame.

Guinea Fowl Ballotine accompanied with foie gras and wild mushroom emulsion, spinach, potato pave, and butter-tossed young root vegetables.

Platters of delectable appetisers and entrees are piled on rantangs (wooden stands) and put on the table, creating a customised culinary tower that adds aesthetic appeal. The deft and unobtrusive service allows diners to concentrate only on savouring the cuisine and taking in the mesmerising marine spectacle.

The Lobi PlanTM at OBLU SELECT Lobigili features one free dinner experience at Only BLU for stays of at least four nights. Fushi PlanTM does not include dining at Only BLU. However, visitors at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi may schedule lunch and supper for an extra fee.

Exceptional Food Truck Experience

Gaadiya 17 at Lobigili island and The Copper Pot Food Truck at Ailafushi island are two lively food trucks that provide grab-and-go style grills for beachgoers wishing to have a carefree dinner.

Gaadiya 17, which debuted on June 13, 2022, specialises on farm-raised, certified game meat. Angus Striploin and Kobe Tataki steaks, Wild Maldivian Lobster, Lagoon Prawns, and Octopus Legs may be found on the menu. The Copper Pot Food Truck specialises in grilled Surf & Turf.

These flavorful and savoury meals may be enjoyed by the ocean, surrounded by a starry sky, calm music, and a cool wind.

Guests at OBLU SELECT Lobigili may also dine at the all-day Ylang Ylang restaurant and unwind at the stunning Swing Bar with an infinity pool. At OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, dining choices include the Element X Restaurant, which offers contemporary Western, Central Asian, and Far Eastern cuisines, and the X360 Bar, which has a 1,000-square-meter infinity pool. La Promenade, which opened on 11 June 2022, provides a lively social scene with its café and wine store.
