Panerai Launches The Exciting Luminor Marina Carbotech

The watch, the very first edition of which caught the eyes of the legendary Sylvester Stallone continues to wow the world. The hallmark of Panerai, the Luminor, completed 70 years of a legendary existence. The brand celebrated this landmark day by releasing the classic military-inspired Luminor Marina Carbotech — 44mm. Originally developed for military dive teams, Luminor watches are accoutered with a crown protection system, sandwich dial and cushion-shaped case.

The timepiece has an all-black case and a blue sandwich dial with satineĢ soleil decoration. It’s slimmer case profile is what differentiates it from earlier versions and makes it stand out. In a way, it has transported back to the basics by being an essentially tool watch. Keeping up with its name, the timepiece is water-resistant to approximately the depth of 300 metres.

Another astounding feature is that the Panerai Luminor Marina Fibratech 44 PAM01663 premieres a case crafted from mineral fibers produced by the fusion of basalt rock.

The first creative director of Florentine luxury watchmaker Panerai, Alvaro Maggini, embodied the spirit of the Luminor Marina collection saying “The sea has always been our natural habitat.”

With the unveiling of its pop-up store at Ion Orchard, Singapore, the brand paid an ode to its years of crafting wrist-worn underwater instruments. With giant octopus tentacles of 7 metres, the art reflects the brand’s penchant for the waters.

Panerai has also released its first playlist on Spotify, one that echoes the voice of the brand and spanning a whole canvas of genres. Stepping up its game with a digital storytelling platform called Pamcast, the brand has a truly futuristic vision. Recreating stories around Panerai’s heritage, products, innovations and features, the aim is to connect with consumers in times when the world is going online.

As Jean-Marc Pontroué, chief executive officer, Panerai said, it’s time to “Establish authentic connections with our audience through carefully crafted stories that resonate with clients’ needs while remaining true to our unique DNA and roots.”
