QT Hotels and Resorts in New Zealand Opens its suites to Furry Guests.

Everyone deserves luxury vacations- whether you’re a ‘hooman’ or a ‘doggo’. Lately, a New Zealand based hotel group has opened its doors to dog-friendly suites. Every time you go for vacations, the thought of keeping your pet in kennels can make you guilty enough to not enjoy your stay. Hence, this comes as a welcome surprise for many dog-owners and this luxury hotel in New Zealand is surely now a favourite with all of them.

Now, stay guilt-free with your Fido by giving it its own space. This week onwards, QT hotels and resorts are rolling out suites to dogs only in their Queenstown and Wellington properties.

To pamper them even more, your dog will be given designer doggy bedding, food and water bowls. Even the minibar will be pet-friendly!

For the food and menu part, QT Wellington’s executive chef Jiwon Do has specially designed an in-room dog dining menu called ‘Woof Tartare’. If you have a high-maintenance dog with unique vegan or dietary requirements, the restaurateur has developed a special doggy bowl for you too.

So who’s ready for some treatos?

To enhance the experience for dogs, your four-legged companions also are given a choice of the dog outwears from Wellington-based company- Wolves of Wellington. You can opt for classy bandannas or ‘bow-wows’ ties. These are sold in both the Queensland and Wellington Hotel chains.

If you’re worried about dog poop situation, then the hotel has that covered too. They have stocked up on deodorizing spritz and compostable poop bags to keep the luxury property in top condition.

Rates of such suites start from $529. This will include a $150 cleaning fee to make the rooms fur-free and spotless after they leave. Only down to this proposal is that you won’t be able to cuddle with your pooch in bed. There is a strict policy of no dogs on the bed.

This scheme is only for dogs less than 20 kgs. Cats, canaries or large hounds will have to look for alternate accommodation! Soon QT Auckland will also be opening its doors to this pup-friendly scheme in November.
