Reliance Brands Acquires 51% of India's Iconic Couture House -  Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Continuing its streak of acquisitions to purchase holdings in Indian couture businesses, Reliance Brands Limited (RBL) has now acquired a 51 percent controlling ownership in one of India's leading couturiers, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla (AJSK).

The strategic alliance aims to accelerate the 35-year-old couture house's expansion aspirations in India and around the world.

Established in 1986, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla couture is worldwide renowned for its avant-garde quality and classically exquisite aesthetic. Each AJSK garment is a contemporary masterpiece, combining the riches of India's tradition with magnificent, ground-breaking design. They are well known for introducing mirrorwork, crushed cotton and silk, chikankari, and khadi as couture.

At AJSK, we blend the finest materials with the most beautiful embroidery and complex decorations to produce garments of unmatched quality and aesthetic appeal. The focus is on classic style rather than fads. 

Numerous celebrities – including Judie Dench, Sonam Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone – have worn the designer duo's designs for weddings and red carpet events.

The fashion house Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla currently houses three additional labels: ASAL by Abu Sandeep, a diffusion, formal, occasion, and wedding wear womenswear label; GULABO by Abu Sandeep, a luxe pret separates collection for women featuring casual and formal wear; and MARD by Abu Sandeep, a formal and occasion wear menswear label.

The company is devoted to fostering amazing Indian craftsmen and showcasing their incredible workmanship on a global scale via the new relationship. The brand's fresh emphasis will allow it to promote India as a maker of the best, competing with the world's greatest, according to a press release.

Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's fashion label presently houses three other brands: ASAL by Abu Sandeep, GULABO by Abu Sandeep, and MARD by Abu Sandeep.

Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will continue to be responsible for the brand's design and creative direction.
