POWERED BY RAGING MECHANICS

The RD630 movement is used to power the Excalibur Spider Huracán Sterrato MB watch. This horological "engine" is meant to resemble the hexagonal air intakes of Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing vehicles, while the symmetry of the dual barrels nods to the Huracán collection and the multi-fuel tanks of its supercars. To ensure maximum performance, the Maison's watchmakers have inclined the balance wheel by 12 degrees. Positioned at 12 o'clock to mimic the Sterrato rev counter, its inverted placement affords the user a greater glimpse of its spiral oscillations - the throbbing heart of the watch. The date is shown at 6 o'clock to round off these remarkable mechanisms.

When seen from behind, the semi-skeletonized movement displays the 360° oscillating mass, recreating the speed impression of a Huracán wheel rim while imitating its appearance. The automated monobalancier calibre's 60-hour power reserve is a triumph of mechanical engineering.

CONSTRUCTED OF HIGH-TECH MATERIALS

Modern and hyper-tech materials, carefully selected for their extreme lightness and durability, further demonstrate the Maison's technological expertise. The 45mm casing is constructed from SMC Carbon, which is one of these materials. This composite material is nine times lighter than gold, and its application is directly inspired by the monocoque chassis and body panels of the Lamborghini Huracán.

Six minute markers are increased to give the bezel a more expressive appearance, further invoking the Sterrato's distinctive fender guards. The increased thickness of these black DLC titanium pieces mirrors the supercar's enhanced ground clearance, so wearers are constantly reminded of the pleasures that come with an action-oriented supercar.

DRIVE IN STYLE

The watch, attired in dazzling orange and bold red, is a remarkable example of ultra-sleek aesthetics. Sharp lines across the dial from 12 to 7 o'clock and from 12 to 5 o'clock are reminiscent of the roof rack of the Sterrato. Each Excalibur Spider Huracán is distinguished by its crown, which is inspired by racing nuts and adds even more roaring flare to the wrist.

A Quick Release System enables the user to adjust the strap at pit-stop speed, while the flaming camouflage design evokes the super sports car's gravel capabilities. This particular design involves the vulcanization of many coloured plates, which takes 30% longer than a standard strap, while the inner strap is made of black rubber and has the recognisable pattern of a Pirelli Super Trofeo R tyre.

The Excalibur Spider Huracán Sterrato MB is limited to just 28 units and combines superior mechanics and hyper-tech materials with adrenaline-charged looks.
