Roost Apartment Hotel Announces Opening Of Roost Tampa, Its First Location in Florida

July 2022 - Tampa, FL - ROOST Apartment Hotel, the high-design extended stay concept from Philadelphia-based hospitality business Method Co., announces the grand opening of ROOST Tampa in the Water Street Tampa area, a new 56-acre mixed-use complex along Tampa's waterfront. The launch represents a number of firsts for the company, including ROOST's first Florida site, the debut of Method Co.'s lifestyle services, and the debut of co-living apartments.

The high-design extended stay idea joins the new Water Street Tampa neighbourhood, which has new facilities and lifestyle services maintained by Method Co., such as new co-living apartments, a pool deck with cabanas and a bar, and co-working space.

ROOST Tampa, which combines a boutique hotel and apartment-style living, is the fifth location for the ROOST brand and the largest to date, with 97 studio, one- and two-bedroom, and co-living units spread across six floors in Asher, a new residential tower designed by the renowned Morris Adjmi Architects in Water Street Tampa. Through a partnership with Strategic Property Partners, LLC ("SPP"), the developer of Water Street Tampa and Asher, Method Co. is launching their lifestyle services, operating the building's expansive 30,000-square-foot amenity spaces, and introducing new lifestyle programming designed to encourage socialisation and community interaction within the building.

Through their FurnitureWorks studio, Method Co. collaborated closely with Morris Adjmi and Aaron Poritz to build specific pieces that took influence from various design icons, including Clara Poset, Luis Barragan, Pierre Chapo, and Roger Capron. Diverse cultural influences helped shape the personality and style, ranging from Salvador Dali's surrealist paintings to Ybor City, a historic Latin neighbourhood that was previously renowned as the "Cigar" Capital of the World. Warm walnut, old plant patterns, hemp strapping, and woven linens comprise the resultant colour scheme. Custom beds, consoles, and glazed raku lighting by Furniture Works, Moroccan rugs by Beni Rugs, leather lounge chairs by Luteca and Thonet, surrealist artwork by Massimo Colonna, lighting by Aaron Poritz and & tradition, Gubi Adnet Coffee Tables, custom Menu sofas, and additional furnishings by Interior Define, Workstead, Flos, and Original BTC are among the featured designers. ROOST Tampa explores tonal and material depths, providing a strange inner story based on Tampa's revitalised art community. ROOST Tampa apartment hotel apartments have full-sized kitchens and contemporary equipment with an interior design that celebrates the nostalgia of local historical tales while adapting to the current reinventions of its new area.

Guests of ROOST Tampa will have access to the brand's exclusive amenities, such as an artisanal coffee programme with La Colombe, Mauviel cookware, an upscale cocktail kit, and a proprietary bike sharing programme.

The resort will debut the brand's first co-living apartments, providing ROOST guests with the opportunity to experience community living. The four- and eight-bedroom homes have a common space with a living room, full-sized kitchen, and washer/dryer. Certain rooms include a private balcony and/or a private bathroom, while others have a private balcony and/or a shared balcony. Ideal for bigger parties, each co-living apartment may be hired by the room or as a four- or eight-bedroom suite.

With the inauguration of ROOST Tampa, Method Co. debuted its lifestyle offerings for ROOST visitors and Asher residents, marking the first place where the business is in charge of a comprehensive amenity package. Method is operating all amenity spaces within the building, including a 30,000-square-foot amenity floor with Water Street Tampa's largest rooftop pool deck with cabanas, outdoor kitchens, an indoor-outdoor bar, and an entertainment lawn, as well as an indoor media lounge, entertainment lounge, state-of-the-art fitness centre with indoor and outdoor spaces, and co-working lounge with private conference rooms. Additionally, Method Co. provides a 24-hour concierge service. Existing lifestyle programming is offered in the amenity areas. Culinary, social, exercise, and wellness programme choices include group fitness classes, swimming lessons, community jogging groups, cooking demos, wine courses, outdoor screenings, reading clubs, game evenings, DJs on the pool deck, movie nights, and more.

The ROOST brand runs three locations in Philadelphia and one in Cleveland, which debuted in March 2022 as part of the renovation of the historic May Company building in Cleveland's downtown. The brand's expansion will continue later this year with the inauguration of a ROOST facility in Detroit as part of the Book Tower renovation, a restoration of one of the city's most cherished architectural icons. Additionally, ROOST will launch additional locations in Baltimore and Charleston.
