Based in Argentina’s Patagonia region, San Carlos Bariloche has become a popular vacation destination especially during the summer months in the Northern region.
It features multiple activities for outdoor sports with the largest ski centers in South America, Catedral Alta Patagonia which is located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park and is spread across 3000 acres.
The town reflects European character and finds its roots in German, Swiss and Italians that immigrated to Argentina in the 1800’s.
In 2001 during an economic crisis, Juan Pablo Reynal purchased a 650-acre land in Arelauquen Golf and Country Club that is surrounded by nearly 750-acres of nature reserve and Lake Guttierrez.
Keeping the current rate of property in mind, Mr Reynal suggests that ranging from a 10,000 square foot to 1.2-acre lot will sell for anywhere between $500,000 to $2 million.
The entire Arlauquen area features nearly 75 lots, 90 luxury apartments and 330 upscale homes and has come to be extremely popular among expats for its absolutely stunning views and amazing high-tech amenities.
It is conveniently located at a short drive from the airport and at a 10-minute distance from the slope of Cerro Catedral, making it a highly desirable place to live in.
Mr Reynal also tends to rent his five-bedroom apartment through listings on AirBnB, which was rented by a family of four from California who stayed there for nearly a year.
The view is the main takeaway from the house with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a stunning view of pristine Lake Guttierrez and the magnanimous Andes peaks. It also has modern features like hot tubs, a clubhouse and billiards table that tenants can relish during their stay.
The luxury home is rented out for $450 per stay.
