Fun in the sun, water, and a bottle of fine wine. Although wine may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a vacation in the Maldives, Atmosphere Core is making waves with their novel approach to developing a genuine wine culture inside the company. 

Atmosphere Core has announced exceptional wine experiences throughout its network of eight resorts and three brands, including exciting in-resort events with Champagne Guy Charbaut in 2021 and 2022, and Bodegas Viátigo in 2022. Included in the itinerary is a chance to relax on the gorgeous islands of the Maldives while enjoying an exquisite terroir wine. 

At THE OZEN COLLECTION, the atmosphere is suitably festive thanks to the free flow of champagne and good wine. Wine connoisseurs may now test their taste buds at the weekly Blind Wine Tasting events hosted by OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI and OZEN LIFE MAADHOO. 

Gourmet 'Moonshine Wine & Dine' events are held at the Charcoal restaurant at VARU By Atmosphere, an Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts property, on full moon evenings. Each component of the three-part meal is paired with a carefully selected wine to create a harmonious harmony of flavour.

The COLOURS OF OBLU trademark provides an exciting, joyous twist, making for indelible memories with loved ones. There are periodic Honeymoon Wine celebrations held at OBLU SELECT Lobigili. Beyond the usual fare served with wine, OBLU SELECT Sangeli encourages customers to savour their drink with unique fusion canapés topped with regional specialties. Each week, people may look forward to the refreshing Wine Not?! activities. Each week, La Promenade at OBLU xperience Ailafushi hosts globe-Wine Xperience, where wines from all over the globe, both old and new, are shown.

Three Values-Based Wine Alliances

Three family-run wineries have joined forces with Atmosphere Core: Champagne Guy Charbaut, Bodegas Viátigo, and the newest member, Glenelly Estate. Each of the three wineries they work with was selected after years of investigation for being genuine, family-owned, and producing expressive terroir wines that can't be found anywhere else in the Maldives.

In 2022, guests of THE OZEN COLLECTION resorts were treated to enlightening wine soirees and workshops hosted by the likes of Champagne Guy Charbaut and Bodegas Viátigo. Atmosphere Core's frontline food and beverage specialists spent a week in early 2023 learning about the winemaking process at Bodegas Viátigo in the Canary Islands. A real enthusiasm for their profession shone through in their engaging conversations with patrons.
