Swiss Company Kross Studio Introduces the Classic Colors Leather Watch Roll Collection

Kross Studio has introduced a new line of traditional leather watch rolls in a variety of hues. This collection is a break from the Swiss design studio's usual pop-culture-inspired collectibles and exemplifies the company's expertise in developing luxury accessory products.

Before producing a watch roll design that fulfilled Kross Studio CEO and Creative Director Marco Tedeschi's exacting specifications, the company created over fifty prototypes. "As a watch enthusiast and frequent traveller, I had not yet discovered a watch roll that matched my demands on the road," Tedeschi explains. "After several iterations, we arrived at the ideal watch roll design: one that provides the ideal blend of protection and upmarket materials, traditional elegance, and pragmatic use."

The traditional watch rolls provide unrivalled protection for any timepiece, domestically or abroad. The rolls' snap-top closures open wide to show a replaceable cushion insert that may fit a Kross Studio watch or any other kind of watch or smartwatch. The delicate microfiber lining protects cases, bezels, straps, and clasps from scratches and damage.

Layers of durable cushioning and internal panels provide further stability and stress absorption, with wood panels on the sides and a metal plate under the snap-top closure. This robust profile enables each roll to be concealed and protected inside a luggage, carry-on, or dresser drawer. Subtle "legs" on the bottom of each roll enable it to stand upright on any surface.

Vegetable-tanned leather covers with contrast stitching are available in a variety of colours, from neutrals (tan, grey, black) and classic tones (navy blue, green, gold, baby pink) to more saturated colours (royal blue, orange, red, yellow, turquoise). Vegetable tanning is one of the world's oldest leatherworking traditions, providing a more durable, silkier, and environmentally friendly alternative to synthetically processed leathers.

The vegetable tanning process may take skilled craftsmen anywhere from days to months to complete, using organic tannins derived from trees, barks, and leaves to imbue the leather with subtle natural tones and distinctive patinas. The vegetable-tanned hides are also ideal for personalised embossing, a service Kross aims to provide for this line by the end of 2022 on its website, kross-studio.com.

A Kross Studio patch sewn into the watch roll flap verifies the originality of each product, and an instruction card with a QR code connects the owner to a registration website where they can view the digital user manual and activate a 5-year worldwide warranty.
