The Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM by Hublot is an Ode to Innovation

The Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM is a relevant illustration of the Swiss luxury timepiece Hublot's commitment to innovation.

This incredible watch, dubbed the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM, utilises a novel material that was discovered in the realm of satellite technology and was employed in 2019 for the Big Bang MP-11.

In 2019, the Big Bang MP-11 was produced in emerald green, but this time, after three years of study, Hublot was able to achieve a brand-new bright yellow hue.

The citrus-like tint meets the stringent specifications of the Nyon Manufacture for the watchmaker's sapphire timepieces: full transparency and exceptional durability.

SAXEM is an acronym that stands for "Sapphire Aluminum oXide and rare Earth Mineral." It is an alloy of aluminium oxide, the primary constituent of sapphire, with rare earth metals such as thulium, holmium, and chromium. The resultant substance is ultra-resistant and has a brightness that surpasses that of sapphire.

Hublot continues its investigation of SAXEM - a material often used in satellites and certain lasers - enabling the Manufacture to achieve unparalleled transparent colours, including neon yellow. A first for both Hublot and the watch industry.

The newest Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic is driven with the HUB6035 manufacture calibre with automatic winding. Hublot chose the most challenging technical method, self-winding with a micro-rotor, since it was the only way to avoid hiding the rear of the movement as a traditional rotor would have.

In addition, the calibre is skeletonized. Even the bridges are made of sapphire, since the structure is completely open and uncovered. The central tourbillon looks to be hovering in midair. This architecture aims to eliminate any visual clutter from the artwork.

It is positioned at six o'clock and is a technological wonder of Haute Horlogerie craftsmanship.

The Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM has a power reserve of 72 hours. The 50-piece limited edition of this wristwatch has a neon yellow textured rubber strap, titanium deployant clasp, and One Click mechanism.
