Automatic, 157 g
Captain Cook's second collaboration with the Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is this extraordinary limited edition watch - The Captain Cook Hrithik Roshan Special Edition.
This timeless piece of design has a 43 mm diameter and can withstand depths of up to 300 metres. Matt plasma high-tech ceramic forms the monobloc housing, and a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides sits in the centre. The black sapphire crystal is etched with Hrithik Roshan's metallic signature, revealing the automatic Rado Calibre R734 movement underneath.
The mechanism has an 80-hour power reserve and is more accurate than usual in three to five test sites. Additional features include a bracelet with matt plasma high-tech ceramic outer links and polished plasma high-tech ceramic middle links, and a rose gold PVD coated stainless steel rotating bezel with rose gold lacquer filled indexes. About Rado
Along with Longines and Union Glashütte, Rado is a "premium" brand of the Swiss watchmaking company Swatch Group. It was established in Lengnau, Switzerland, in 1917 as Schlup & Co., which started using the Rado name in the 1950s. Previously, it was a component of Sagiter and the General Watch Co./ASUAG. Today, Rado is recognised for its use of high-tech materials, such as ceramic (descended from DiaStar) and the seahorse and anchor insignia, which denote waterproof and automated watches, respectively.
