The Green Carpet Fashion Awards in Milan, Italy Create A Buzz

The first ever virtual edition of the GCFA (The Green Carpet Fashion Awards) Italy 2020 took place on Saturday 10th October 2020.

The Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italy started 3 years ago in Milan in 2017 by Eco-Age in association with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI).

These awards celebrate and honor the topmost in sustainable fashion. The whole idea behind these awards is to encourage sustainability as a way of life and they are also an account of the commitment of leading fashion brands to the cause of sustainability.
It is surely a challenge for fashion brands to incorporate much needed changes while maintaining the authenticity, uniqueness for their own brands and fashion products.

Also referred to as the ‘Oscars of Fashion’, the The Green Carpet Fashion Awards are considered globally as one of the most credible sustainability and fashion awards. The pomp, glitz and celebrity presence at these awards give it almost a feel of the Oscars. GCFA is hosted annually at La Scala theatre in Milan and these are the only awards that honor the handprint of fashion (the human capital needed to make fashion) along with honoring the footprint (the natural capital and environmental impact) of fashion at a professional level.
