The Limited Edition TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Rekindles a Timeless Design

TAG Heuer, the Swiss luxury watchmaker, created an unconventional take on Jack Heuer's favoured Heuer Carrera model to honour his groundbreaking design. TAG Heuer's Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition is a nod to the original Heuer Carrera's minimalist design, which made it a hit with race car drivers off the track. The overall shape of the original reference 2447 has been maintained, down to the lugs and pushers, which have been enlarged to a more wearable 39 mm for the modern market. Faceted, rhodium-plated, and coated with Super-LumiNova®, the indexes and hands of the watch display the time with ease.

Stylish tri-compax arrangement can be seen on the dial, which is also available in a dark red colour. From the brand logos to subtle design accents like the red tachymeter scale on the 1960s Heuer Carreras to the bright red hands on the Heuer Monaco or Ayrton Senna's favourite chronograph to famous pieces like the Heuer Silverstone of 1974, one of the few strong, red-dialed watches of that period, the use of this colour has been central to the TAG Heuer identity.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition has a sunray-brushed dial with snailed chronograph counters for the hours, minutes, and a stationary seconds hand. The dial has the classic Heuer logo and the word "Carrera" in Arabic numerals.

The watches include a red accent on the column wheel and oscillating mass engravings of the Calibre Heuer 02, the in-house high-precision chronograph movement that provides an exceptional power reserve of 80 hours. The back of the watch, which is made of sapphire crystal, allows you to see these.

There are just 600 of the TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition available. A steel deployment clasp complements the black alligator strap that displays this clock. The back of each case will read "ONE OF 600" and "Limited Edition."
