NOVITEC MCLAREN ELVA

The German luxury car tuning company NOVITEC has now released an upgrade kit for the McLaren Elva. The hyper-roadster sans windscreen and roof was introduced three years ago in a limited edition of 149 cars driven by a four-liter, eight-cylinder, twin-turbo engine.

The NOVITEC engine tune provides 919 more horsepower and 888 additional Newton-meters of peak torque. This results in a peak speed of almost 330 kilometres per hour. NOVITEC also designed a custom-tuned handling kit for the two-seater, which consists of high-tech 20- and 21-inch forged wheels and sport springs.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the McLaren Elva is located directly behind the seats and delivers 599 kW / 815 horsepower and 800 Nm of peak torque in standard configuration. Its engine is the ideal foundation for NOVITEC's three equally effective and practical performance packages for this open-top super sports vehicle.

Plug-and-play NOVITEC N-TRONIC module that improves the electronic engine control system is required for all models. This auxiliary control device provides customised injection and ignition maps and intervenes in the boost pressure regulation.

The Details

The high-performance exhaust system from NOVITEC was particularly designed for this engine. It decreases exhaust back pressure and provides complete thermal insulation. 999 fine gold plating may further enhance the insulating effect.

The NOVITEC-tuned McLaren Elva delivers an astounding 676 kW / 919 horsepower @ 7,100 rpm. At 6,300 rpm, the max torque of 888 Nm is available. The NOVITEC McLaren Elva accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in in 2.7 seconds. The maximum speed exceeds 330 km/h.

The Wheels

For the roadster, NOVITEC and Vossen, a famous American maker of high-end alloy wheels, devised a custom tire/wheel combination with 20 and 21-inch dimensions. Using cutting-edge forging and machining techniques, the NOVITEC MC3 wheels make the most of the available space beneath the wheel arches.

Twin Spokes

They have seven twin spokes that extend to the outside edge and a hub cover with a centre lock appearance. The rims are available in 72 distinct colour options and with either a brushed or polished surface finish. The front axle is supported by 9Jx20 wheels with 255/30 ZR 20 high-performance tyres. On the rear axle, 325/25 ZR 21 tyres set on 12Jx21 rims with a concave centre provide exceptional traction.

Decreased centre of gravity

The NOVITEC sport springs reduce the open-top mid-engined racer's ride height by about 20 millimetres. The decreased centre of gravity enhances the handling performance. NOVITEC can also customise the inside of the McLaren Elva to the exact specifications of the owner. For this aim, the business employs the highest quality leather and Alcantara in an almost infinite range of colours.
