W16 Mistral in Tokyo
Asia is the next stop on the Bugatti W16 Mistral's globe tour, which started this summer in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. On its most recent journey, Bugatti's ultimate roadster arrived in Tokyo, the most populated city on earth and one of the world's major financial centres.
Tokyo, a bustling metropolis renowned for its cutting-edge technology, diverse culture, and deep history, combines the traditional with the contemporary in a seamless manner. Visitors may simultaneously examine temples that are well over a thousand years old and see the world's highest structures.
The W16 Mistral1 is at home here, building on more than a century of Bugatti heritage and using the most cutting-edge automotive design advances.
The W16 Mistral made one of its first stops in Japan at the Kanda Myojin Shrine, one of the oldest temples in Tokyo. Its particular architectural style is ageless in the city of the twenty-first century. As is the case with the W16 Mistral, heritage and cutting-edge technology seamlessly coexist.
The W16 Mistral also travelled through Oishi Park, with Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi in the background. The distinctive rear treatment, accentuated by the X-shaped taillight pattern, is a beacon for the future of Bugatti design.
As the W16 Mistral resumed its exploration of the city, it stopped at the internationally renowned Gora Kadan. Gora Kadan, the former retreat of the Imperial Family, is a seamless combination of nature, culture, and luxury that stimulates all five senses. In a similar manner, the W16 Mistral – named after a breeze that ushers in the changing seasons in southern France – is moulded by nature; rooted in heritage – including the 'Dancing Elephant' sculpture of Rembrandt Bugatti concealed behind the gearstick; and meant to excite.
Sky Group, an official Bugatti partner with decades of expertise satisfying clients' wants and wishes via its portfolio of top luxury brands, launched the Tokyo Bugatti showroom in 2021. The W16 Mistral was the main attraction at the showroom, and buyers were treated to an evening at a neighbouring Michelin-starred restaurant.
Bugatti's Regional Director for the Middle East and Asia, Kostas Psarris, said,
"Tokyo and Japan have always been a natural fit for Bugatti. Our brand is governed by our heritage yet propelled by the most cutting-edge innovations in technology, engineering, and design. The W16 Mistral is a perfect representation of our core beliefs, emerging from a lengthy heritage of stunning Bugatti roadsters while advancing unparalleled levels of performance and elegance. It is a privilege to visit Japan and share our newest innovation with Bugatti Tokyo's worldwide customers, many of whom are among the most ardent Bugatti collectors in the world. In reality, Japan is one of the countries with the biggest number of Bugatti super sports vehicles supplied."
The very powerful 1,600 PS W16 quad-turbo Bugatti W16 Mistral is the W16 engine's last song on the road. It combines unequalled Bugatti performance with a design that is both recognised in its modernity and a tribute to the brand's heritage.
After its stop in Tokyo, the W16 Mistral will continue its globe tour in the island nation of Singapore.
Due to the enormous demand from Bugatti aficionados throughout the globe, all ninety-nine W16 Mistrals were sold immediately.
The car customization will begin this year in Molsheim.
