Together, Hublot & Shepard Fairey Launch 'The Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph All Black' in Hollywood

The Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot and internationally renowned contemporary street artist Shepard Fairey collaborate to launch an exclusive North American timepiece: the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph All Black Shepard Fairey, which features Shepard Fairey's signature star mandala and Hublot's All Black design signature.

Art and watch enthusiasts are familiar with the names Shepard Fairey and Hublot, who started cooperating in 2018 on the limited-edition Big Bang Meca-10 Shepard Fairey timepiece, which marked the beginning of a famous cooperation. Shepard Fairey, together with Takashi Murakami, Richard Orlinski, Maxime Plescia-Buchi, and other luminaries from the realms of Art, Music, Gastronomy, and Sport, has joined the Hublot family.

"Shepard Fairey is an artist of global significance, but first and foremost, he is an artist of American significance, defining our changing and sometimes challenging times. For this reason, it is fitting that we produce an edition exclusively for the North American market that celebrates both the art and the artist and in the city he calls home."
- Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot

Shepard Fairey, whose stunning artwork is shown in some of the world's top galleries and publicly featured on the streetscapes of major U.S. and international cities, was the ideal partner for the brand, which is recognised for being first, unique, and different.

Fairey, a contemporary street artist, painter, graphic designer, activist, DJ, illustrator, and founder of the OBEY Clothing company, is best known for the 2008 "Obama Hope" poster, which became an iconic symbol of the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign, as well as the piece "Liberté, égalité, fraternité" which he created as a symbol of hope for France following the 2015 terrorist attacks, or the massive 2015 "Earth Crisis" installation at the Ei Fairey

“Over the course of my watchmaking partnership with Hublot, I discovered that the Mandala – a recurring theme of my work and an ongoing source of inspiration – lives in perfect harmony and balance within a timepiece and it naturally became the center piece for my collaboration. In revisiting this design for a North American exclusive, we took this distinctive shape and married it with the Hublot signature All Black ceramic for a look that fuses our respective artworks together.”
- Shepard Fairey, Artist
